Dental Clinic looking to expand our team!

Seeking dental assistant with a dual role for receptionist to provide the following:

• Provide high standards of customer service
• Frontline receptionist to dental and wellness patients
• Help with answering phone calls, giving out appointments, patient registration, cashiering collection.
• Assist doctor in aesthetic and wellness procedures
• Assist doctor in dental procedures
• Basic admin work where needed
• Disinfect and sterilization of equipment & basic housekeeping.

Job Requirements

• Able to converse in Chinese and good English in order to facilitate patients consultation and enquiry process
• Assist Doctor in dental procedures and perform basic therapist duties
• Front desk duties and handle client's enquiries
• Ensure smooth running of clinic
• Well groomed with strong inter-personal communication skills
• Familiar with computer use.
• 5.5 days week or 44 hours per week, No night clinics.
• Regular Hours. Public Holidays off, Sundays off
• Experienced receptionist/dental/wellness candidates will have an advantage
• Therapist with WSQ Cert/diploma and experience will be at advantage.
• Proper Training in dental and wellness will be provided.

Salary

• Monthly $1700 - $3000, negotiable based on experience.

Assisting responsibilities

• Assist our dentists efficiently in all dental treatments.
• Ensure the comfort of patients throughout treatment.
• Clean, sterilise and prepare dental instruments and equipment as required.
• Maintain high standards of infection control during clinical procedures and sterilisation processes.

Reception responsibilities

• Provide quality reception and check-in service to patients (E.g. registration, walk-in enquiries etc.).
• Attend to clinic phone calls, emails and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Organise patient appointments, reminders and after-care follow-up.
• Perform check-out procedures (E.g. payment collection, medicine dispensing, etc.).
• General Admin duties (E.g. organising patient records, claims and submissions, tracking and ordering clinical supplies, lab tracking).
• Maintain the general cleanliness and neatness of the clinic.

Job Duties

• Assist dental surgeon in procedures and minor dental surgeries
• Prepare the work area for patient treatment by setting out required dental instruments and materials
• Sterilize & pouching of dental instruments
• Maintain the overall sterility, cleanliness and neatness of the clinic at all time & basic housekeeping throughout the clinics
• Assist in taking xrays
• Preparation of next day cases
• Checking of lab cases
• Clearing suction and all instruments at end day
• Ensure professional services are provided to patients
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
• Basic administrative duties

Required Skill(s)

Customer service, Booking patient appointments, discharging patients, accepting payments, Hospitality, Proficient with Computer software for electronic medical records, Microsoft excel, Microsoft word and using computer effectively.

At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Healthcare - Nurse/Medical Support & Assistant or equivalent.

APPLICATIONS WITH WORK EXPERIENCE IN HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY OR GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF DENTAL PROCEDURES AND TREATMENT PROCEDURES WILL HAVE AN ADVANTAGE.

Working hours : 9am to 6pm weekdays | 9am to 1pm weekends

11 sessions (44 hours)/week

1) Dental Assisting

Providing assistance in all forms of dental procedures to the dental surgeon(s)on duty
Washing, sterilizing and storing of dental instruments and equipment
Taking X-rays for patients assessment and treatment planning
Maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of treatment rooms at all times
Maintaining the cleanliness of dental instruments and equipment
Checking and topping up of dental material stocks
Ad hoc duties as assigned by Doctors

2) Counter Reception

Attends to all patients’ enquiries for appointments and/or walk-in treatment
Patient registration; Discharges patients by dispensing medications (or as required), collecting payments accurately, issuing of MC and/or receipts and scheduling patient for subsequent appointments
Drafts claims for CHAS treatments;-Submits insurance dental claims whenever required
Records and files documents in accordance with the clinic’s Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs)
Keys in sales of dental products in Clinic Management software; Sends, track sand receives laboratory cases;
Calls patients to remind them of their subsequent appointment with the clinic whenever required
Ensures accurate translation of doctors’ schedule into the Clinic Management software
Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the clinic
