The Role
Be a part of the Nursing team in our hospitals - Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital (Orchard), Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital.
Job Description & Requirements
- Supervise and guide newly recruited / graduated nurses and student nurses
- Coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate ward / unit training needs and activities
- Assist the Nurse Manager / Nurse Clinician in implementation, assessment and evaluation of nurses’ competencies
- Foster sound professional collegial relationship with Medical, Allied Health and Nursing team, patients and public
- Conduct ward / unit orientation and induction for newly recruited / graduated nurses
- Nurture nurses’ clinical competencies progression through mentoring and role modelling
- Collaborate with the Nursing Education department in planning, implementing and evaluation of competency based education and training
- Participate in Nursing Quality related projects
- Role model the desired team and leadership behaviours
- Perform other assigned duties
- Diploma in Nursing/Degree Qualification
- Post Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board
- At least 5 years nursing experience in specialty area (essential)
- Experience as a preceptor/clinical nurse educator preferred
- Desired leadership behavior demonstrated
- Coaching and mentoring ability
- Knowledge of current trends in nursing practice
