Oversee development and growth of effective services and initiatives that meet the needs of service users in a sub-sector(s)
[What you will be working on]
Identify needs in sub-sector:
- Engage SSAs and key partner agencies to understand national strategies and key services in the sub-sector
- Analyse the service landscape to identify key needs and gaps in the sub-sector
- Develop and oversee implementation of sub-sector strategy aligned to NCSS’s to meet the identified needs
- Communicate needs and gaps to SSAs and encourage development of services to meet the needs
Develop new initiatives to meet identified gaps in NCSS’s service priority areas:
- Conceptualise new programmes and initiatives that meet sub-sector needs and work with relevant partners to refine proposals and implement solutions
- Drive collaborations with SSAs in the development of services that meet the needs in the priority areas
- Oversee assessment of funding proposals of new programmes in accordance with NCSS’ service and funding priorities within the sub-sector
- Provide guidance to team members in refining proposals, service models and evaluation for funding approval at the Services Committee
Grow effective services
- Oversee implementation and management of services and initiatives in subsector
- Assess and evaluate initiatives and programmes implemented
- Advise SSAs on areas relating to service development and improvement
- Engage SSAs and policy agencies to scale or mainstream effective programmes and initiatives
Facilitate linkages and collaborations in the social service sector and ensure sustainability of services
- Build capabilities of SSAs to develop good and sustainable services
- Facilitate linkages and collaborations between policy agencies, service providers and key stakeholders
