We are seeking a Staff Nurse/ Assistant Nurse with experience in outpatient Ear, Nose, Throat, Facial Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery specialist care.
The job is based in a specialist clinic in Camden Medical Centre, Mt Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre and/or Gleneagles Hospital and involves clinic work with some assistance provided to doctors on the wards.
Working hours:
Working times are 0830-1730 Monday to Friday and 0830-1300 Saturday. Staff is given one Saturday and one half-day morning off a month after confirmation.
The clinics are open 0900-1300 and 1400-1730 from Monday to Friday and 0900-1300 on Saturday.

Clinical Responsibilities:
• Sensitivity to diverse patient populations and an understanding of cultural factors that may impact patient care and communication.
• Utilize your strong nursing background and in-depth knowledge of plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures to oversee patient care and treatment.
• Demonstrate an understanding of surgical techniques, cosmetic treatments, and patient care protocols.
• Familiarity with surgical equipment and instruments used in plastic surgery procedures.
• Conducting thorough preoperative assessments to evaluate patients' overall health, medication history, allergies, and any potential contraindications for surgery.
• Provide financial counseling and guidance to patients, explaining treatment costs, payment options, and insurance coverage.
• Understanding and implementing strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of surgical site infections.
• Assisting the surgeon during various plastic surgery procedures, including handing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Familiarity with the types of anaesthesia used in plastic surgery.
• Proficient in monitoring and interpreting vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation, before, during, and after surgery.
• Expertise in postoperative care, including pain management, wound assessment, and monitoring for signs of complications like hematoma or infection.
• Overall responsibility for the clinical care and safety of patients including the adherence to all clinical safety and infection control SOPs
• Ensuring strict adherence to MOH licensing requirements and the renewal of clinic license
• Drug dispensing to patients
• Drug stock keeping (3 monthly stock take)
• Maintaining and updating the resuscitation and emergency trolley
• Vetting through all clinical results that come to the clinic and notifying doctors
• Performing hearing tests (training will be provided)
• Skin prick testing (training will be provided)
• Allergen Immunotherapy – explanations to patients, dealing with queries
• Ambulatory sleep studies (WatchPAT) - training to be provided
• Injections (vaccinations, biologics)
• Annual leave and roster coordinator
Administrative Responsibilities:
• Lead and inspire our healthcare team, setting clear expectations and fostering a positive work environment.
• Serve as a role model for clinic staff, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, punctuality and a commitment to ethical standards.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our clinic's services, including specific tactics and campaigns.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, their families, and referring physicians and other healthcare professionals. Promote collaboration and teamwork to enhance our clinic's reputation and patient referrals.
• Stay up to date with changing healthcare regulations and ensure the clinic complies with all legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient records, procedures, and treatments for legal and medical purposes.
• Procure consumables and pharmaceuticals relevant to the needs of the clinic in a timely and cost-effective manner, including specifying procurement processes and systems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree.
• Valid current Registered Nurse license in Singapore.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic surgery and aesthetic nursing.
• Certification in plastic surgery nursing preferred.
