About KidsFirst

KidsFirst is an Early Intervention School, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy clinic for children. Our centre works with children with special needs (Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), genetic disorders, and Cerebral Palsy, etc). What are we looking for?

KidsFirst is ideally looking for practitioners who meet the following requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
• Relevant working experience as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist in a school or individual therapy setting
• Evident proficiency in English Language and well spoken
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently
• Maintain files and/or records for the purpose of documenting activities and/or follow standard operational procedures
• Participate in a collaborative model with all team members
• Preparation of material/responses to guide parents and provide assessment
• Planning and implementing Individualized Education Plan (IEP)

Job Responsibilities

Direct reporting to Cluster Lead & HSSE Head and functionally reporting to Plant Manager. Supports the Plant Manager in the management of site Health, Safety, Security and Environmental related matters, include but not limited to:

• Advises and supports the Site Manager, including interfacing with authorities, and other institutions regarding workplace health, safety, environmental and security issues.
• Monitors local laws and regulations and Group HSSE requirements, and imposes measures to ensure that Health, Safety, Environmental and Security compliance and performance expectations are being met.
• Attends and provides HSSE inputs during daily O&M coordination meeting & PTW coordination meeting.
• Acts as Secretary to the HSSE Committee to discuss Environmental, Emergency & Security related matters.
• Schedules and participates in HSSE inspection programs, including daily site inspections and surveillance during the execution of critical work activities.
• Monitors, reports and support plant manager on the closure of any HSSE lapses identified through the conduct of inspection for work environment, equipment and tools, and vector control (i.e. preventing mosquitoes breeding & other rodent).
• Prepares Plant specific Emergency Response Procedure and coordinates planned drills at least annually or per local legal requirement.
• Conducts regular inspections for HSSE critical equipment and systems such as firefighting and lifesaving equipment to ensure they are maintained in good working condition.
• Develops, drives and oversees environmental awareness and protection management programmes, in consultation with SCU SG appointed Environmentalist and Plant Manager, including facilitation of environmental monitoring program (i.e. Air quality, Water Quality, Noise and Soil etc.) and Waste Management.
• Liaises with Human Resource Department and Plant Manager on occupational health surveillance such as the annual Audiometric test & Medical checkup.
• Supports the implementation of site hazardous material management and ensure the practices conform to the local legal requirements and the Group HSSE Hazardous Substances Management Standard.
• Participates as member in the Plant Safe Operating Committee (SOC) or Risk Management Team.
• Reviews and provides inputs on Risk Assessment (RA), and provide safety endorsement on the MSRA and other safety critical related documents relating to PTW approval.
• Initiates and leads in HSSE Awareness, consultation and engagement program including development and execution of promotional activities and HSSE coaching and training (Safety induction and HSSE critical activities).
• Participates in Incident Investigation as assigned and ensure lessons learned are shared at appropriate platforms to prevent recurrence.
• Participates in evaluating and selection of Contractor and Sub-contractor.
• Records HSSE violation incidents, and report and escalate to the Group in accordance to the Group HSSE Incident Investigation and Reporting Requirements policy.
• Any other ad-hoc activities assigned by the HSSE Head.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management or Environmental Science or
• Specialist Diploma in WSH (Level C) and Fire Safety Manager
• Min 5 years of related HSSE experience
• Good computer skill (Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience in Power & Utilities industry is a plus
• Familiar with local HSSE related regulations and compliance
• Team player and good stakeholder management skills
• Positive attitude with high self motivation to deliver the outcome
• Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) by SCDF
• Trained IMS Internal Auditor
