Family Central, a service by Fei Yue Community Services, was officially appointed by the Council for Third Age (C3A) as programme organiser for the Intergenerational Learning Programme (ILP) with effect from June 2013.

The ILP aims to encourage intergenerational bonding by matching youths and seniors in a group learning environment. Through practical lessons such as Skype, Facebook, managing health and laughter yoga, seniors acquire new knowledge while youths share theirs and learn character building.

Family Central can provide a framework and methodology, capacity building through training, consultancy and sharing of best practices, and participating schools can count their ILPs as part of their service learning initiatives. These programmes will help forge intergenerational solidarity and promote social cohesion.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and implement effective strategies to promote the Intergenerational Learning Programme (ILP) to seniors
• Recruit senior participants for the ILP workshops
• Process course registrations through the Training Management System (TMS)
• Manage administrative matters related to recruitment
• Assist Team Lead in preparing for the monthly report submissions
• Handle senior enquiries through phone calls, text messages and emails
• Travel down to the various schools within Singapore to oversee the ILP workshops

Summary of Role

The Learning Specialist provides advisory services on learning solutions and interventions. You will liaise and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand organisational requirements and objectives in order to diagnose performance gaps and evaluate learning opportunities.

You will develop courseware materials based on curriculum objectives and assessment of learning needs. You will also develop the learner user experience journey analysing the appropriate learning delivery modes as well as identifying opportunities to integrate learning technology and systems.

Responsibilities:

Analyse Learning Needs & Design Blended learning solutions

• Partner various Corporate Services functions to develop a blended learning curriculum for new staff onboarding, including microlearning modules using iSpring content authoring tool
• Manage Fei Yue’s central iSpring learning catalogue, including administration of user accounts and assignment of microlearning to respective learner groups
• Analyse learning needs gathered from Department Learning Priorities and individual learning plans to recommend learning programmes
• Identify appropriate learning delivery modes to facilitate achievement of learning experience objectives considering the learning styles and work environment of targeted learners
• Support in-house trainers in the delivery of blended learning, integrating relevant learning technology and workplace learning methods

Design curriculum and courseware materials

• Work closely with subject matter experts to extract and translate complex concepts into clear and accessible learning materials.
• Develop courseware materials based on analyses of curriculum objectives and specifications
• Analyse curriculum objectives to define assessment criteria and module breakdowns
• Determine appropriate assessment metrics and methods based on analyses of curriculum objectives and specifications
• Develop content for assessment materials and tools
• Develop user experience journeys to facilitate achievement of intuitive and user-friendly learning experience, eg. e-learning modules, multimedia presentations, and interactive simulations.

Evaluate curriculum effectiveness

• Collect curriculum feedback from internal and external stakeholders

• Review feedback from learners and external stakeholders on the impact and effectiveness of learning solutions and interventions

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant working experience in L&D and instructional design
• Possess DACE/DDDLP and ACTA/ACLP certification or equivalent certification related to Workplace Learning / instructional design
• Experience in design of learning interventions/programmes of different modalities (e.g. face-to-face, virtual, and blended)
• Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods

Family Central, a service by Fei Yue Community Services, was officially appointed by the Council for Third Age (C3A) as programme organiser for the Intergenerational Learning Programme (ILP) with effect from June 2013.

The ILP aims to encourage intergenerational bonding by matching youths and seniors in a group learning environment. Through practical lessons such as Skype, Facebook, managing health and laughter yoga, seniors acquire new knowledge while youths share theirs and learn character building.

Family Central can provide a framework and methodology, capacity building through training, consultancy and sharing of best practices, and participating schools can count their ILPs as part of their service learning initiatives. These programmes will help forge intergenerational solidarity and promote social cohesion.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and implement effective strategies to promote the Intergenerational Learning Programme (ILP) to seniors
• Recruit senior participants for the ILP workshops
• Process course registrations through the Training Management System (TMS)
• Manage administrative matters related to recruitment
• Assist Team Lead in preparing for the monthly report submissions
• Handle senior enquiries through phone calls, text messages and emails
• Travel down to the various schools within Singapore to oversee the ILP workshops
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors

About Community Mental Health Department:

Our Community Resource, Engagement and Support (CREST) teams support clients who are at risk of or diagnosed with mental illness as well as their caregivers. The teams provide basic emotional support and monitoring of their mental health conditions through home visits and service linkages.

Responsibilities:

• Support any networking events with stakeholders such as government agencies, grassroots, and community-based organizations to raise awareness of mental health
• Support mental health screening events to identify those who are at-risk/diagnosed with mental health conditions and connect them with the right services for early diagnosis and treatment
• Provide basic emotional and cognitive support to clients who are at-risk/diagnosed with mental health conditions and/or their caregivers and link them up with relevant services based on their needs
• Ensure proper maintenance of case documentation and timely submission of reports to external parties
• Support the run of a caregiver support group

Requirements:

• Diploma Holder preferably with some social service experience
• Passionate to work in the mental health sector and community services
• Good communication skills (oral, written, bilingual) and interpersonal skills
• A team player who can also work independently
• Detail-oriented in keeping proper documentation
