Job Overview:
The HR Manager will play a strategic role in managing the full spectrum of human resources functions to support organizational growth and employee engagement. The individual will work closely with senior management to align HR policies with business objectives, foster a positive work culture, and ensure compliance with labour laws and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Planning
• Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Forecast workforce requirements and develop talent acquisition strategies.
• Provide insights and recommendations on organizational structure and change management.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
• Oversee the recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding new hires.
• Partner with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines through networking, job fairs, and partnerships with educational institutions.
3. Employee Relations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through engagement initiatives.
• Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions with employees and management.
4. Performance Management
• Implement and manage performance appraisal systems to drive employee development.
• Assist managers in setting performance goals and providing constructive feedback.
• Address underperformance and facilitate improvement plans when necessary.
5. Compensation & Benefits
• Manage payroll processes in coordination with finance teams.
• Evaluate and implement competitive compensation structures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, such as CPF contributions (in Singapore).
6. Training & Development
• Identify training needs across the organization and design relevant programs.
• Develop succession planning strategies and leadership development initiatives.
• Measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and ROI analysis.
7. Compliance & Policy Management
• Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and employee handbooks.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
• Conduct periodic audits to assess HR-related risks.
8. HR Metrics & Reporting
• Track key HR metrics such as retention rates, recruitment metrics, and employee satisfaction.
• Present periodic reports and insights to senior management.
9. HR Technology Management
• Leverage HR systems and tools to streamline processes, such as recruitment and performance tracking.
• Explore and implement new technologies to enhance HR operations.
10. Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor HR staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Delegate tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
Skills & Requirements:
• Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certifications like SHRM or CIPD are a plus).
• Experience:
5+ years of relevant HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Skills:
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
