Job Title: Head of Cybersecurity
Job Summary:
The Head of Cybersecurity oversees the company's cybersecurity strategy and operations. This role involves managing a team of cybersecurity professionals, developing and implementing security policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in cybersecurity, able to anticipate and mitigate potential threats and lead initiatives to protect our digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the cybersecurity team, providing direction, mentorship, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and best practices across the organization.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
2. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively protect the organization.
3. Policy and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Oversee security audits and assessments to identify and remediate gaps in the security posture.
4. Incident Response and Management:
- Lead incident response efforts, including detection, analysis, containment, and recovery from cybersecurity incidents.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct regular simulations and training exercises.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders (e.g., law enforcement, vendors) during incident investigations.
5. Security Architecture and Operations:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of security infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption).
- Ensure the secure configuration and maintenance of IT systems, applications, and networks.
- Monitor security operations and respond to security events in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or CISA.
· Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and policies.
· Strong understanding of current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, telecommunication).
· Knowledge of cloud security and experience with cloud service providers (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
· Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management).
