The Head of Operation position is a crucial function to ensure operational efficiency and profitability for all restaurants in Singapore. The role will be responsible for overseeing many different areas of the business including ensuring the excellence of operational activities and manpower productivity, planning and executing business expansion, monitoring and overseeing the business and employees, analyzing, gathering crucial information, enhancing brand visibility and overall sales, while managing the profit and loss aspects of the business.
Core Responsibilities
- Fully responsible for the P&L for the restaurant operations – managing the restaurant operations to meet desired sales and profit
- Driving operations excellence through various initiatives to improve operations standards, productivity and efficiency – analyze productivity data and optimising staffing and production capacity
- Ensuring consistently high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety to deliver excellent customer experience
- Driving service excellence through various initiatives
- Collaborating with various departments to unify teams and foster a work environment that aligns with company strategic direction and improve efficiency – this include coordinating for new project development, marketing campaigns, new product development, digital initiatives, manpower initiatives, cost management initiatives and etc
- Coordinating with the management for strategic business expansion - assisting with the sourcing and analysis of potential new locations
- Engaging with government authorities and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Any ad-hoc projects/initiatives assigned by management from time to time
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled visits to stores to ensure operations are running smoothly.
- Explore new trade areas as part of the process for opening future stores.
Requirements:
- Preferably a degree or diploma holder in Hospitality field.
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skill.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- At least 10 years experience in management role in F&B or retail operations
- Proven ability to manage profitable businesses.
- Proven ability to build and lead strong teams.
- Proven ability to have an ‘Attention to Detail” mind-set.
- Stable work history to date, i.e., have a record of staying with previous employers for significant periods.
