Responsibilities:
Proactively work with business (research analysts, quantitative strategist, end-users, etc.), understand business requirements to enhance our investment and research data solutions and strategies.
Contribute, influence, and review the design of data solutions to ensure they meet both business and operational needs.
Conduct requirement workshop with business and/ or users and analyze requirements holistically to enhance our investment and research data solutions and strategies.
Plan, develop testing strategies and execute end-to-end user acceptance testing of system and data changes in data solutions.
Set up, improve and streamline new or existing data operations process through analyzing systems operations data (SLAs, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, team efficiency etc.) for continuous improvements.
Monitor, analyze, investigate, and resolve day-to-day operational incidents and provide advisory to users.
Design quality metrics and monitor quality of enterprise datasets.
Manage and maintain strong data provider relationship to ensure continuous support and knowledge for existing and future data needs.
Possess a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related fields from recognized tertiary institution.
3 to 8 years of experience in data management, data analysis, user/business requirements analysis and enhancement, data analytics and visualization. Preferably within investment and banking industry.
Good understanding of the principles, key controls, and processes relating to data management, as well as data modelling and data integration.
Good at working with details and is meticulous for operations.
Experience working with business intelligence/data visualization tool using Tableau and PowerBI.
Familiarity with data warehouse, data models, data management tools, and data extraction such as SQL, Tableau, Python or R is preferred.
Knowledge of using formulas/macros in Excel is advantageous.
Experience in economics/finance related courses is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skill to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Agile, fast learner and able to adapt to change.
Good team player, with strong analytical skill and enjoy complex problem solving.
Experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementation methodology and/or Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
