As the Deal Origination Director specializing in the Global Investor Programme (GIP), you will play a strategic and leadership role in identifying, originating, and structuring deals for high-net-worth clients looking to establish a Singapore-based Single-Family Office (SFO) and meet the GIP's stringent financial requirements. This position is instrumental in driving the growth of our organization and ensuring the successful entry of clients into the Singaporean financial landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Origination Strategy:Develop and execute a comprehensive deal origination strategy to identify high-net-worth individuals and families interested in the GIP, particularly those from China. Leverage an existing network and establish new connections within the China UHNW and family office communities.
- Client Engagement:Cultivate relationships with potential GIP applicants from China, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the deal origination process. Conduct in-depth consultations to understand clients' financial goals, investment preferences, and eligibility for the GIP.
- Deal Structuring:Collaborate with clients, particularly those from China, to structure their investment portfolio in alignment with GIP requirements, ensuring compliance with all regulatory aspects. Develop customized investment strategies tailored to clients' objectives.
- Financial Evaluation:Assess clients' financial capacity and suitability for the GIP, ensuring that their assets meet the program's AUM requirements. Conduct due diligence processes as necessary.
- Application Facilitation:Guide clients, especially those from China, through the GIP application process, ensuring all required documents are accurate and complete. Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients to facilitate approvals.
- Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of deal originators, providing guidance, support, and training to maximize their effectiveness in sourcing high-quality GIP clients.
- Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, applications, and deal origination progress. Prepare reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in deal origination, sales, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of the Global Investor Programme, Singapore's financial landscape, and investment categories outlined in the GIP criteria.
- Strong understanding of financial compliance and due diligence processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with China's UHNWs and family offices.
- Leadership experience, including managing and developing a team.
