9. Participate in planning, design, preparation, and network implementation for supporting customer’s major events

We are seeking a forward-thinking Azure Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge Azure-based solutions. The successful candidate will work within the IT Operations realm to support, develop and secure our cloud infrastructure, services, and solutions.

Role:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, deploy, and maintain Azure-based solutions.
• Utilize Bicep and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code to automate the provisioning and management of Azure resources.
• Manage YAML configurations for various deployment processes.
• Deploy and manage monitoring metrics and logging capabilities across systems and applications.
• Championing innovation through containerization and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce security best practices across Azure environments.
• Apply industry standards and best practices to ensure system and application security.
• Design, implement, and optimize Azure networking solutions, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
• Take ownership and be a central point of contact for any reported issues, ensuring regular and professional communication.

Skills required:

• Proven experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or similar role ie DevOps Engineer.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM or Terraform.
• Experience with Azure DevOps as a CICD tool, able to maintain pipeline repos spanning across multiple projects.
• Proficient in managing YAML configurations for deployment processes.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure networking, including VNet, Subnet, ExpressRoute, and VPN configurations.
• High understanding of cloud infrastructure designs, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure PaaS and IaaS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), test-driven development, and automated CI/CD.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
• Solid understanding of Azure Active Directory, including identity and access management.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud-focused logging and monitoring tools (preferably using Azure Monitor with Application Insights and Log Analytics).

Must Have -
1. Candidate should be well versed with Scala and have applied object-oriented Scala concepts day in and day out (Inheritence, Anonymous Classes, Scala Objects, Abstract Classes etc)
2. Candidate should be well versed with Distributed Framework like Spark
3. Candidate should be well versed with Spark RDD, Spark Dataframe, Spark Core, Spark Streaming
4. Candidate should be well versed with Hive or any other equivalent warehouse technology
5. Candidate should be well versed with Shell Scripting
6. Candidate should be well versed with complete Software development life cycle process
7. Candidate should be aware of Git, Sonarqube and control M
8. Candidate should have good experience on performing environment upgrades like SIT, UAT & Prod
9. Candidate should have overall understanding on Big Data Technology
10. Candidate should be a problem solver and guide the team when they need support

Good to Have -

1. Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops in terms of Pipeline Creation, Code and Repo Management
2. Knowledge of CDP is preferred
