SUMMARY OF ROLE

In this role, you will oversee the development of automation control software using Visual Studio C#, WPF, SQL and adopting Agile development methodology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Determine functional requirement feasibility by evaluating analysis, user story definition, proposing solution, quick prototyping.
2. Design solutions and document by developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, design document, system specs and standards.
3. Interpret technical requirements, identify design parameters, developing flowcharts. Layouts, diagrams, design document, system specs and standards.
4. Interpret technical requirements, identify design parameters, develop solution according to design specification, standards, and programming.
5. Be a persistent, creative problem solver; make informed decision quickly and take ownership of development tasks.
6. Update job knowledge by studying state-of-art development tools, programming techniques with teams, customers, or suppliers.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science related with minimum 2 years of software development experience.
• Proficient with C#, WPF, Python, .Net Framework, Object Oriented Programming, strong fundamentals in software development and best practices.
• Experience working in an agile environment and prefer to have experience leading a design/development team.
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through full launch of the project.
• Once offered, can be on board immediately.

Job Responsibilities

• PLC software development and testing – experience with Omron is preferable
• Develop PLC/PC based software solutions
• Provide technical support to external and internal customers
• Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of a project team
• Interpret client requirements, identify design parameters and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget
• Create and finalize designs to meet project requirements

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with 3-5 years related software development experience
• Proficient in PLC programming language – Visio C
• Strong fundamental knowledge of PLC programming and its application in automated industrial equipment
• Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals
• Self-starter and effective communicator
