Position: Data Engineer / Administrator

Key Responsibilities
- Support data engineering tasks, including implementing and maintaining data pipelines and resolving pipeline issues.
- Manage and maintain the data platform by performing regular software version upgrades across all environments, ensuring comprehensive testing and detailed documentation.
- Address daily operational requirements such as configuring applications, managing user access requests, resolving functional queries, and troubleshooting issues.
- Oversee platform maintenance, including application administration, system connectivity, interface integration, and model deployment.
- Conduct periodic reviews of source code and configurations to ensure code quality and verify that sensitive information, such as secrets, is not hardcoded or embedded in source code or configuration files.
- Perform regular patching of Azure Cloud Servers.
- Develop business processes by collaborating with stakeholders to understand use cases for building data pipelines, conducting data modeling, completing data collection forms, documenting use cases, defining data attributes across various data quality zones, and establishing naming conventions for datasets.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in this role.
- Expertise in architecting, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining data platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PySpark, SQL, Bash, PowerShell, and Git commands.
- Hands-on experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and Oracle.
- Familiarity with CI tools and technologies, including JupyterHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure Databricks, RStudio, and PowerBI.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Skilled in geospatial tools, such as Geopandas, PostGIS, and platforms like ArcGIS Enterprise/Server.
- Proficient in working with public cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS.
- Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively in a team and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage tasks proactively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in Agile management tools, including Confluence, Jira, and Kanban boards.
- All nationalities welcome, but must be in Singapore with 2 years of local experience.
