The Data Governance Specialist will be leading the approach, design, and execution of Data Governance initiatives of AIA Singapore.

In this role, you will participate in the planning, estimation of varied tasks associated with a well-rounded Data Governance framework. In this role, you will work closely with Technology on solutioning, architecture, feasibility, tool evaluation and project management for supporting Data Governance.

You will also be responsible for providing timely updates along with any associated issues and risks.

Responsibilties:

• Drive the overall Data Governance Framework setup and execution across AIA.
• Define, obtain endorsement, and maintain key Data Governance documents and areas including, but not limited to: target operating model, roles & responsibilities, policies, standards and processes.
• Execution of Data Quality assessment for key systems and critical data elements.
• Implementation of Data Governance tools like metadata management, reference data management, master data management and data quality.
• Facilitate the resolution of data quality and governance issues on a day-to-day basis.
• Chair and run the periodic Data Governance Working Group meeting.
• Collaborate with Data, Analytics and BI colleagues to deliver on your objectives and openly share knowledge within the organization.
• Build and maintain strong effective relationships with key internal and external parties to ensure that your data platform solutions meet expectations
• Assess and understand the business requirements through liaison with the business, Business Analysts and Project Managers.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge for the effective performance of the role.
• Other tasks or responsibilities assigned from time to time by management.

Requirement:

• Bachelor ’s degree and above in Analytics, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related fields.
• 3-4 years experience in data governance and data quality related projects.
• Hands-on experience on related tools namely IDQ, AXON, EDC, Data360. Also working experience in SQL, Alteryx Tableau or BI Tool
• Good knowledge of the overall Information Management framework, including operating model, data governance, data management, data security, data quality and data architecture.
• Good understanding of metadata management, reference data management, master data management, and data quality.
• Day to day execution experience of implementing data governance framework.
• Experience of transforming an organization to be more data focused.

About the Role To develop insurance products to meet customer needs, to support product implementation activities, to monitor post-launch product performance & to support product marketing initiatives, in order to achieve company's overall business and strategic goals. About the Role You will be part of the Compelling Proposition Solutions agile team, and responsible to manage and ensure successful delivery of product launches (including fund launches/changes & maildrop) by working closely with the key stakeholders and in accordance to agreed priorities. Candidate with 4 - 5 years of experience preferably in the Life Insurance industry, with knowledge in insurance operation and process transformation in system areas are preferred.
