Job Description

• Possess up-to-date knowledge on AIA finance and accounting processes, terminology, workflows, system functionalities, parameters and interfaces, finance operations and data analysis

• Proactively research standard processes and evaluate suggested technical solutions against business requirements to propose most effective solutions

• Result oriented with a sense of urgency to follow up with project-related matters to resolution and proactively report any concerns or unresolved issues that may lead to service interruption or project delays

Requirements

• Possess 2 years of experience handling finance system projects within the insurance industry
• Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent is preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work in the fast pace environment

This position will be pivotal for the development and implementation of an effective Technology Risk 2nd line of defense function providing risk oversight and advice.

The position will work in close collaboration with the local Technology function and the Group Technology Risk Management function.

Key responsibilities as a 2nd line function include:

• Provide support in implementing the Group/MAS technology risk framework and processes for governance, risk and control including review of current policies, guidelines, and procedures over technology risk.
• Implement effective proactive risk & control data analytics; define and build KPI and KRI reporting, and leverage existing metrics and risk dashboards to support effective qualitative and quantitative risk reporting.
• Proactively identify and effectively communicate emerging technology risks and opportunities to stakeholder at all levels of the organization.
• Regular reporting to Board and senior management on technology risk and security matters, including developments in the organization’s technology security risk profile in line with developments within and outside the organization, to ensure that the information security, cyber risks and threats are within the company’s risk tolerances.
• Increase awareness and enhance risk culture across the organization and provide day to day risk and control advise as trusted 2nd line subject matter expert.
• Champion and advocate the ownership of technology risk management, ensure risks are understood and managed within approved risk thresholds.
• Provide 2nd line reviews of risk assessments and business cases to identify key risks and gaps as required and provide assurance on the effectiveness of the technology and information risk controls and oversee the operationalization of control processes.
• Provide security and control review on major technology initiatives to ensure that Group/MAS Security standards and requirement are met, and risk mitigation are appropriately implemented.
• Support Technology Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and effective risk management practices and recommend actions to be taken as needed via various risk committees for execution.
• Assist in IT related regulatory inspections and external audits and provide advisory when needed.

Create Software Architecture Specification Assist in developing alternative solution proposals, and participate in the evaluation and selection process Document the Decision Analysis & Resolution Report Document and validate requirements that will be required to document the Release Notes and monitoring team's parameters Define the test strategy to Test performance on new infrastructure after it has been commissioned Advise the Development Manager (or relevant technology partner) of infrastructure requirements required to sustain/improve system performance Complete the technology support request form if needed Review Report Review Business Requirement Documents and System Requirement Documents Prior to Go-Live, conduct informal reviews of source code and unit tests to evaluate efficiency, and adherence to standards Conduct peer reviews of Architectural Specifications for adherence to standards, optimised design and architectural soundness Problem/Incident Root Cause Analysis Report Participate in the investigation, diagnosis and solution development & testing related to logged incidents and Problems Document to relevant findings in a Report SLA Compliance Report Define a monitoring strategy for the application (ensuring that the correct parameters are exposed for monitoring), review Service Definition Analyse monitoring results as obtained from Systems Monitoring Teams Assure the availability (scalability, availability & security) as per defined systems performance expectations Take proactive steps to ensure availability Source Code Implement the Technical Specification using the relevant development language (Java, Magic) Produce source code by applying the technical standards, and referencing the systems' exposed sub-processes Update the reference documentation and update the scheduling tool with progress Document logic and comments inside code Document Database structure changes and rule changes Produce or update the configuration files Guidelines, Standards and Coaching Participate in different internal forums and lead work streams to improve methodology, internal processes, standards and guidelines Conduct training and informal coaching with own team Assist developers in understanding the architectural principles of the environment Manage weekly team meetings to discuss overall Architecture What you need to be successful Work experience : Minimum of 6 years' experience in software development in Java Minimum of 2 years' experience in a team lead capacity Must have relevant business experience or product/systems knowledge Process knowledge of SDLC, Project Management, Systems architecture, ITIL processes, CMMI Technical knowledge of Spring (Boot, Batch, Data, Testing, Messaging, Event) Java 8 (preferred 11), Angular, HTML, UML, BPM, Modelling - essential Strong knowledge of Database, SQL skill and Hibernate.
