Responsibilities:

• Review of project orders relevant specification and/or data sheets
• Providing and implementing cost effective and best engineering solutions for project
• Support sales, project and production team on various aspects of technical/engineering matters
• Prepare engineering documents, i.e. Assembly drawing with BOM, control schematic drawing, test procedure, data sheet and engineering library
• Manage engineering change function and ensure engineering documents are updated
• Providing engineering practice and calculation to meet project timeline
• Field support for the customers to resolve after sales / any technical issues
• Travel along with Technicians to installation base and sites if situation arises
• Administer and to maintain the SAP item master data
• Drive the department’s improvement programs and/or process efficiency initiatives

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years experience in Marine, Oil & Gas or Automation industry
• Possess knowledge in instrumentation and control system
• Knowledge in industrial standards related to Valve Automation
• Able to read and interpret Drawings, Specifications and Technical documents
• Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D or drafting software & SAP will be added advantage

• Review all project engineering documents before submitting them to client.

• Recommendations based on common industrial engineering practice, where necessary.

• To attend internal/external kick off Meeting (KOM) when required.
• Travel with technicians to installation base & sites if needed.
• Lead the department’s improvement programs and updating SOP
• Annual performance review for staffs to ensure competency
• Support new employee orientation by providing brief training on process flow.
• Support and guide the Operations department in resolving aftermarket technical issues
• Develop and upkeep of staff technical competencies include the design, development of instructor guides, plan training, schedule and conduct training with the staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical/Instrumentation or equivalent
• Min 6 years supervisory experience in Valve Automation and/or instrumentation background
• Knowledge in ISO 12490 / API 6DX / IOGP S-707 / SHELL DEP standards or other industrial standards related to Valve Automation and/or instrumentation.
