The Role

We are expanding our Trading/Ledger team within Arta to support new use cases as well as expand support for existing functionality. We are looking for a senior engineer who has the ability to design and implement key features across this system.

What you will do

• Engineer Robust Trading Systems: Develop and enhance trading platforms that operate across a diverse array of financial products. Your work will directly support trading activities across a variety of financial products.
• Optimize Fund Movements: Play a critical role in refining the infrastructure that manages fund flows within Arta. Your solutions will ensure seamless and secure transactions, vital for our operational integrity and financial health.
• Expand Financial Product Integration: Enhance our platform's capabilities by integrating a broad spectrum of financial instruments. This task involves not only extending our existing representations but also innovating ways to accommodate emerging financial products.
• Advance System Scalability and Correctness: Take initiative in identifying and implementing improvements to both the scalability and accuracy of our automated trading systems. Collaborate with peers to drive changes that fortify system robustness, preparing our platforms to handle millions of transactions flawlessly.
• Leverage Cutting-edge AI in Trading: Work closely with our research teams to integrate the latest AI advancements into our trading algorithms. This collaboration aims to continually evolve our state-of-the-art investment platform, setting new industry benchmarks in automated trading.
• Build High-Impact Services: Contribute to the development of services that support millions of users without compromising precision. Your expertise will ensure that our platforms not only scale effectively but also maintain the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.

Who you are

• Hands on experience in developing cloud services with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Deep expertise with relational as well as no-sql databases
• You have 10+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience as a tech lead or leading projects
• Drive design and implementation of back-end systems
• You have experience in Python, C++, Web Services
• Bonus: Trading background is a big plus!
• You are based in Singapore, or you have a plan to relocate to Singapore (We do not have relocation package, but we will sponsor Employment Pass if you are eligible.)

The role

In this role, you’ll work with internal domain experts, engineers, UX designers and other stakeholders to ideate, prioritize, define, prototype, develop, test, and iterate on our frontend applications. Our frontend systems tackle diverse challenges, from condensing and communicating complex financial terms in an elegant and beautiful way to our members, to effective and fast internal tools that enable us to serve our members well.

We're looking for engineers who are versatile and enthusiastic about taking on new problems as our fast-paced business and technology stack rapidly evolves in response to changing business needs. Examples of things that you might work on:

• Work with domain experts to develop user flows for new financial products on our web or mobile applications, including integrations with backend systems and state management.
• Work on enabling our marketing team to effectively communicate Arta’s message and brand on our website
• Work with designers to update and refine our component library used in multiple flows to work well across usage scenarios and form factors.

You will be expected to develop applications with the highest standards for privacy, security, and performance. You are expected to understand choices and tradeoffs around API design, scalability, and reliability.

What you will do

Work with SWE’s to design and build highly available, multi-cloud systems

Build platforms and processes that enable our developers to work more efficiently

Develop and maintain application Build & Deploy Systems as well as Monitoring Infrastructure for applications running.

Continuously improving processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Who you are

You have 10+ years of working in a similar role

You are comfortable coding, with programming languages such as Python and scripting languages such as Bash, and have experience building applications.

You have hands-on experience with either GCP or AWS (bonus for knowing both), and have knowledge of modern infrastructure management tools, like Infrastructure-as-Code and IT automation frameworks.

You have extensive experience with Linux, containerization systems like Kubernetes and Docker and a wide variety of storage systems (Databases, Spanner, BigQuery…)

You have experience with security concepts and configuration (permissions, service accounts, etc)

Bonus: You have knowledge with fintech / financial market services!

You’ll work with a team of product managers, designers, machine learning researchers, and investment professionals to ideate, prioritize, define, prototype, develop, test, and iterate on the software that will fundamentally change our users’ relationships with their money.

We're looking for engineers who are versatile and enthusiastic about taking on new problems as our fast-paced business rapidly evolves.

What you will do

• You will be designing and coding full stack, backend, or frontend features
• You will be designing and developing ETL processes to integrate data from diverse sources, also designing and optimizing data models to support BI reporting and analytics
• You will collaborate in the whole life cycle of the software development – from collecting requirements and iterating on design to implementation and testing
• You will partner closely with product managers, user experience designers, and other cross-functional teams

Who you are

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• You have 3+ years of experience with full stack, mobile, and/or cloud development (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
