Technical Expert Engineering E&I
Maintenance engineer (E&I) is to manage and optimize electrical and instrumentation systems essential for the manufacturing processes to achieve maximum plant availability. This involves design, implement, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems, implement, and oversee precise calibration processes in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Engineering Practices, and EHS requirements.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Provide technical expertise for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and instrumentation to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment’s
• Develop and implement calibration program for instruments, sensors, and control devices to maintain accuracy and precision in measurements for manufacturing and quality control process. Ensure that all calibrated instruments meet regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate and detailed calibration records and documentation of electrical and instrumentation systems, including schematics, drawings, and procedures, for compliance and troubleshooting purposes
• Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to control and automate various processes within the manufacturing facility
• Promptly investigate equipment-related deviations and safety issues by using appropriate problem-solving tools and provide efficient preventive and corrective measures
• Initiate change management, provide impact assessments and carrying out electrical and instrumentation systems. This includes managing project schedules, resource plans, coordinating with vendors, and handling material management
• Collaborate with validation teams to support equipment qualification and validation activities, ensuring calibrated instruments meet required performance specifications
• Identify opportunities to enhance energy efficiency in electrical systems, supporting sustainable practices within the manufacturing facility
• Perform or participate in HAZOP/Risk assessment to actively identify and implement mitigation actions for engineering and maintenance activities
• Participate in regulatory audits and ensure compliance with regulations and standards in engineering and maintenance areas
• Create Standard operating procedures and Provide training to personnel on handling of equipment’s and performing Calibration and Maintenance tasks

What you have to offer:

• A bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Control engineering or relevant fields
• More than 5 years of experience with strong Electrical & Instrumentation discipline knowledge together with hands-on working experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing will be an advantage
• GMP expertise and good understanding of working in regulated environment
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining highly automated equipment’s and systems
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities effectively and work at the start-up environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate in dynamic, cross functional matrix environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and preferably with good proven knowledge in lean sigma methodology

Technical Expert Engineering Maintenance
As a Technical ExpertvEngineering Maintenance you provide technical expertise for maintenance of various plant equipment’s and systems essential for manufacturing processes to achieve maximum plant availability. This involves maintaining and optimizing equipment and facilities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Engineering Practices and EHS requirements.
Your main responsibilities are:

• Develop, Implement, Plan and execute predictive/preventive maintenance program for equipment’s and systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment’s
• Conduct diagnosis and troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine the root cause promptly to increase the machine uptime and ensuring continuous operation
• Promptly investigate equipment-related deviations and safety issues by using appropriate problem-solving tools and provide efficient preventive and corrective measures
• Identify and Manage inventory of spare parts for mechanical equipment, always ensuring availability for maintenance or repairs
• Initiate change management, provide impact assessments and carrying out field equipment modifications. This includes managing project schedules, resource plans, coordinating with vendors and handling material management
• Perform testing, commissioning and qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) activities as applicable
• Identify opportunities to enhance energy efficiency in equipment’s and facilities to support sustainable practices
• Perform or participate in HAZOP/Risk assessment to actively identify and implement mitigation actions for engineering and maintenance activities
• Participate in regulatory audits and ensure compliance with regulations and standards in engineering and maintenance areas

Technical Expert Engineering Automation

The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role involves working at the intersection of engineering, technology, and biopharmaceutical processes, ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of automated equipment and systems.

Your main responsibilities:

System Design and Implementation

• Design and develop automation solutions for various Biopharma manufacturing processes, including production, packaging, and quality control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Select appropriate hardware and software components to achieve automation objectives.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of automation systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Maintenance and Optimization

• Monitor and maintain automated systems to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to prolong equipment lifespan and enhance reliability.
• Identify opportunities for automation optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to automation technicians. Ensure the training records are kept up to date.
• Manage the cybersecurity requirements and work closely with IT team to implement a safe working environment free from cyber threats.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure that automation solutions comply with regulatory requirements, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, and other relevant regulations.
• Participate in validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ (Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification/Performance Qualification) protocols and documentation.
• Keep up with of industry trends and regulatory updates to proactively address compliance issues.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance

• Conduct risk assessments of automated systems to identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Support quality assurance efforts by ensuring that automation processes meet specified quality standards.
• Investigate deviations or non-conformances related to automation systems and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation capabilities, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for process optimization and automation enhancements.
• Implement best practices and innovative technologies to stay at the forefront of automation in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

What you have to offer:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering) or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, SCADA systems, software, Data warehouse like OSIPI and industrial networking protocols. Siemens PCS7 will be added advantage.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards governing biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with test protocols and executions eg. IQ/OQ/PQ, test scripts with relevant key deliverables such as plan, report, deviation, change control and industry best practices etc.
• Experience in start-ups, commissioning & qualification (CSV) of Automation and process control systems.
• Knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 and S95 industry standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
