The Team:

The Credit Trading Analytics team is part of the Global Financial Market Technology (GFMT) division at DBS and is responsible for designing and building auto-quoting tools and solutions while also helping traders uncover patterns and assimilate market information.

Your Role:

We are seeking a professional who is able to provide key subject matter expertise in the design and build of automated and machine learning based OTC trading tools, including but not limited to auto-execution workflows. The ideal candidate will have some experience building and designing these tools for other banks, technology, trading or investment firms. You will also need to communicate effectively with all the stakeholders involved.

Skills and Experience Required:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or the equivalent
• Experience as a Scrum Master will be preferred
• Good experience with SQL-based RDBMS
• Some experience with Hadoop, NoSQL, any open stack ETL & query tools
• Good understanding of Data Analysis in relation to Business Process Modelling
• Understanding of Auto-execution trading workflows utilising machine learning models in an OTC trading setting
• Experience with leading BI tools a plus (Tableau)
• Experience with other programming or scripting languages (e.g. Unix, SQL Script, JAVA, Python)
• In depth understanding of trading systems (Bloomberg, Reuters and FIX protocol)

GFM Operations -GFM Ops operates as a Regional Processing Centre (Hub & Spoke) supporting GFM businesses in the region. The hub and spoke model allow GFM business to scale up while remaining agile in product and service offerings in the fast, evolving market environment. As GFM business expands product offerings in the region coupled with the dynamic regulatory environment, GFM Ops leverages on this unique advantage to continue to standardize processes to manage processing risk and to facilitate automation as well as governance of service level and quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust support for E2E processing of Fixed Income Products, including Note Issuance
• Responsible for E2E processing, smooth completion and settlement of the daily operations for Bonds/Repos
• Perform validation for all Bond/Repo trades against source documents in Murex &/or Front Arena system
• Execute pre-settlement confirmation with counterparties
• Liaise with the respective local T&M branches, CBG, WMO or Common Depository on fixing or settlement where necessary
• Perform month-end bond holdings reconciliation between Murex and Custodians/Common Depository
• Ensure compliance to general banking/statutory requirements and requirements of both internal & regulators compliance
• Provide robust support and consistently high service levels for all stakeholders/clients
• Engage with managers to contribute ideas and solutions on risk management area
• Involve in data and business analytics to support business growth
• Leverage data analytics and support data driven operating model i.e. Value map to drive pre-defined outcomes
• Establish collaboration across different support units and T&M business by Managing through journey

Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in Treasury Operations
• Ability to debug problem caused by hardware, operating system software, application programs, or network failure
• Knowledge on market and industry requirements for settlement and issuance of Debt Securities Instruments
• Familiarity with other derivative product(s) that may be embedded in the Notes structure(s)

Reporting to the Financial Planner Lead, to maintain our Department’s financial and headcount health from budget planning, forecasting, analysing actual results to operational metrics tracking and reporting

Responsibilities

• Completion of annual budget planning, monthly accrual, forecast and reporting within stipulated deadlines
• Ensure actual expense within budget
• Ensure actual vs budget, and actual vs forecast variances are within specified KPI
• Timely submissions within deadlines
• Provide monthly forecasts, monthly accruals, track against budget
• Review monthly expenses to ensure that expenses are booked correctly and work with the Finance team to make any necessary reclassification
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Perform variance analysis, identify trends and recommend actions
• Perform GL review and reconciliation
• Identify and drive process improvements, including automation
• Prepare presentations, monthly expense reports / P&Ls / headcount and provide variance analysis for management review
• Provide report for Strategy Cost Management
• Work closely with Managers, Finance and Procurement teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support
• Provide support to enquires on headcount, SOW, procurement and financial processes
• Oversight of staff onboarding / offboarding, ensure accurate headcount update and tracking
• Oversight of vendor and country payment advice and resolve issues to ensure timely payment within monthly deadlines
• Other financial administrative tasks where required.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Prior financial analysis, planning, forecasting and reporting experience an advantage
• Strong communication, analytical and data organisation/ interpretation skills
• Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy is required
• Adherence to financial information confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools advantageous (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
