Job Description:

• Lead the development of enterprise products and the delivery of software services and cloud platforms, ensuring the implementation of best development practices and governance.
• Collaborate with pre-sales teams to provide technical proposals and evaluate application architecture solutions.
• Work closely with the technology architecture team to design and implement both monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and collaborate with the R&D team to turn conceptual designs and Proof-of-Concept (POC) prototypes into effective business solutions for end-users.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proficient in one or more programming languages/frameworks, such as C#, Java, .NET Core, or Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies and experience in implementing DevSecOps practices.
• Experienced with RDBMS, NoSQL, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed computing.
• Familiar with API gateways, centralized logging, monitoring, and middleware for messaging and authentication.
• Good knowledge of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform is a plus.
• Cloud certifications and achievements are highly advantageous.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the technical integrity of all Safety Engineering design activities and deliverables under his/ her supervision through the project lifecycle and for the compliance with relevant project performance, integrity, quality and HSE requirements.
• Review and provide technical inputs on Technical Safety related technical matters to interfacing disciplines, in coordination with the team/department, during the development of design on projects.
• Manage Technical Safety interfaces with equipment and package suppliers to comply with technical requirements, specifications and Client’s Basis of Design, Standards & Project Specifications.
• Be responsible for the progress of assigned Technical Safety scopes, the internal and external deliverables in line with project budget and schedule.
• Act as the package responsible engineer for safety, life-saving and firefighting equipment.
• Support the team on verification activities as required by the verification body/classification society or other applicable approving authorities.
• Represent the Technical Safety discipline during meetings, audits, verifications, workshops and technical reviews and be responsible for an effective and timely resolution of identified issues.
• Provide technical support related to Technical Safety at the fabrication site, whenever required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by his/ her supervisor.

Work experience requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience having worked in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (Fixed and Floating installations).
• Must have prior work experience with medium/ large sized brownfield and/or greenfield projects in the upstream Oil and Gas sector and possess a good understanding of project phases, milestones, deliverables, internal and external interfaces.
• Must have significant experience with implementing Safety Design Philosophies and Specifications
• Must have had significant experience with developing Safety Engineering Deliverables.
• Must have had significant exposure to supporting the development and implementation of recommendations from third party safety studies and workshops, including HAZID/ENVID, SIL Classifications, Smoke, Gas, Fire and Explosion Risk Analyses, Evacuation Analyses, QRA, ALARP assessments, Fire and Gas Mappings and Noise Studies.
• Must have a good understanding and knowledge of oil and natural gas industry standards such as, but not limited to, API (American Petroleum Institute), ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation), NORSOK, EU Directives and other relevant standards related to Technical Safety.
• Must have strong computer literacy in MS Office and shall be familiar in Technical Safety related software such as Pipenet, DNV PHAST, Flaresim etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/ Safety/ Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent engineering specialisation.
