Key Responsibilities

• Travel extensively across Malaysia and occasionally to regional sites for installations, maintenance, and support sales.
• Conduct technical site qualifications to assess system requirements, project scope and site conditions.
• Setup, configure, and commission solar monitoring hardware on-site.
• Perform network setup and troubleshooting to ensure reliable communication between solar monitoring systems and communications equipment.
• Interact with customers professionally as part of a multi-tasking team.
• Perform onsite installations, repairs, and troubleshooting of solar PV monitoring system.
• Check and provide complete documentation, including installation reports, to clients.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to system performance.
• Investigate technical failures and prepare formal technical reports with recommendations.
• Record keeping and management of spare part movements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of technical experience in the solar industry.
• Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in setting up and configuring solar monitoring hardware and associated systems.
• Experience with network setup and troubleshooting, particularly for remote monitoring of solar assets.
• Ability to work on rooftops and at heights
• Willing to travel regularly within the region, most commonly within Malaysia
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and other electrical drawings.
• Cable jointing qualifications and experience are also an advantage.

The Role: AI/ML Specialist

We are seeking an AI/Machine Learning Specialist to lead the development, deployment, and optimization of advanced AI models. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that address complex business challenges in the climate tech space, with a focus on natural language processing (NLP) using models like BERT and tools like Azure Document Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fine-tune and optimize generative AI models, including BERT and similar transformer-based models.
• Design and implement AI agents for a variety of use cases.
• Explore and experiment with new AI techniques, particularly in recommender systems.
• Build and maintain inference pipelines for real-time AI applications.
• Manage model deployment, versioning, and continuous validation pipelines.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to derive insights and inform decision-making, leveraging Azure Document Intelligence for document processing and data extraction.
• Evaluate and optimize model performance, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML and integrate them into our solutions.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate AI models into production systems.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Master's or PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development and deployment.
• Expertise with transformer models, especially BERT and similar NLP models.
• Experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing models in production environments.
• Proficiency with NLP libraries such as PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers, SpaCy, etc.
• Familiarity with Azure Document Intelligence for document analysis and automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering AI solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with MLOps platforms (e.g., Weights & Biases, MLflow, Anyscale, SageMaker).
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Background in building AI agents with autonomous capabilities (agentic language chains).
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our GNZ software team. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will work closely with GoNetZero’s Head of Digital to architect, design, and implement robust software solutions that power our clients' digital experiences, with a focus on delivering a superior customer experience. Together with GNZ’s Head of Digital, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to our engineering team, driving innovation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercially Oriented Technical Leadership:

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers, guiding them in architectural design, code reviews, and best practices, with specific focus on high time-to-market throughput and high quality code.

Specifically, the Principal Software Engineer is the senior engineer in our team that enables and guides our software engineers to succeed with DORA metrics (DevOps Research and Assessment).

• Deployment Frequency: high deployment frequency of 1-2 deployments per day.
• Lead Time for Changes: lead time for changes from code commit to deployment is consistently around 4 hours, indicating rapid delivery and minimal delays in the software delivery pipeline
• Mean Time to Restore (MTTR): if a service fails, the team is capable of restoring the service to normal operation within 4 hours following an incident or failure, demonstrating effective incident response procedures, automation and proactive monitoring
• Change Failure Rate: less than 5% of changes results in failures or incidents in production, highlighting the team’s strong testing practices, robust deployment pipelines – for both frontend applications and backend applications, with an emphasis on risk management.

System Architecture and Design:

• Architect and design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance systems for mobile applications, web platforms, and data pipeline backends.
• Backend Development: Lead the development of backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with mobile and web frontends.
• Mobile and Web Development: Collaborate with frontend engineers to define APIs and data models that meet the requirements of mobile and web applications.
• Data Pipeline Engineering: Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analysing large volumes of data from diverse sources, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize code, databases, and infrastructure to improve system throughput, latency, and scalability.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that software systems adhere to industry best practices for security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on mobile, web, and backend systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, .NET, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Flutter/Dartlang or Golang.
• Bonus points if candidate exhibits experience with Rust programming language.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, with experience in database design, optimization, and query tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and proficiency in cloud-native services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).

This is a competitive senior, principal engineer level role. Successful candidate will work closely with the business, product and technology leadership team in GoNetZero.

We are looking for hands-on and deep expertise for Day 0, Day 1 go-to-market success.

As a Software Developer, you will be part of our dynamic Scrum team, to deliver high-quality technology solutions across all layers of the system development lifecycle. You will be working on both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications, ensuring high performance, security and scalability.

2. Design and build web and mobile friendly applications with .net and angular, modern JavaScript and state management frameworks.

3. Knowledge in DevOps setup and building pipeline, Spring boot, Microservices, React, TOSCA Testing tool knowledge.

4. Strong JavaScript, HTML5, CSS skills, and having the knowledge in CSS in JS and Web Component

5. Gather requirements with Product owners, business users and subject matter experts and come up with a fit-for-purpose solution design adhering to best design patterns.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

7. Work on both front-end and back-end development, including server-side logic and UI/UX design.

8. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

9. Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards, Group IT policy and market best practices.

10. Lead rectification of defects to identify root cause and propose solutions to fix issues.

11. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, preferably in Scrum or Agile environment.

3. At least 5-8 years’ experience in application development/software engineering

4. Experience in DevOps , Spring boot, Microservices, React, TOSCA Testing tool knowledge.

5. Experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS skills, and good knowledge in CSS in JS and Web Component
