Our client is seeking a Head of Compliance with splendid Corporate Banking background to join their team. Candidate should be comfortable to be a sole contributor and is to expect to cover end-to-end of the compliance duties within the firm.

Responsibilities

• AML/KYC Oversight: Lead, supervise, and manage AML and KYC operations.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate key compliance risks faced by banks.
• Compliance Evaluation: Assess departmental performance against compliance standards and goals.
• Issue/conflict Management: Handle compliance issues involving key personnel and oversee related investigations.
• Regulatory Training and Advice: Provide staff with guidance and training on regulatory requirements and professional conduct.
• Periodic Compliance Reviews: Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to policies and regulations, and facilitate the whistle-blowing process.
• Project Management: Oversee and manage assigned projects.
• Policy Maintenance: Develop, review, revise and update internal policies and operational procedures based on any changes from MAS regulations.
• Regulatory Reporting: Liaise with and report to MAS and other regulatory bodies.
• Project Management: Manage ad-hoc projects assigned.

Requirements

• Possess minimum 5 - 10 years of Compliance experience covering all functions/aspects within Corporate Banking
• Possess prior Team Management experience and comfortable to function as the sole contributor
• Be adaptable and flexible, comfortable working in a fairly new established branch
