Mobile Crane Operator is responsible for operating the Mobile Crane in a safe manner in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health (Operation of Cranes) Regulations 2011.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- To operate and support Mobile Crane related operations
- Work closely with signal team to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations, including the provisions of the WSH (Construction) Regulations and WSH (Operation of Cranes) Regulations in daily lifting operations.
- Able to work from height to ascertain whether the ground conditions are safe for any lifting operations and report this to the lifting supervisor.
- Perform pre-work inspection on the crane as required by the manufacturer’s handbook to ensure that it is safe for operation and report any malfunction of the crane.
- Be prepared to stop work or to notify the WSHE Department in the event of any WSHE deviations
- Able to operate the crane in a safe manner under the clear signal from a signalman
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace
- To conduct daily checks to ensure that vehicles are in good and safe condition.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Certificate in Mobile Crane Operation
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course
- Registered Mobile Crane Operator (MOM licensed) if any*
- Ability to work alone in confined spaces for long duration and at height
- (For truck-mounted mobile crane) Class 5 driving licence.
