Job description and responsibility:

Requirements:

• National Certificate in Construction Supervision from BCA or equivalent preferred.
• Preferably registered as Resident Technical Officer accredited by IES/ACES.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building services in the supervision of commercial/ institutional development with strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services and local construction practices.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel for project update and reports.
• Familiar with local codes & regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• 20 Months Contract

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• To perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act.

• To supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents, and site instructions.

• To check all drawings and specifications to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans for discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person as stated below:

• Check shop drawings submitted by contractor.

• Check as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manual submitted by contractor.

• To check on quality of materials and samples delivered to site and report to Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person on any materials that are not conforming to the specifications.

• To check mock-ups done on site, where necessary.

• To ensure that the required construction tests in connection with the construction works are carried out where necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution or relevant qualifications.

* Minimum ten(10) years of relevant experience as a mechanical and electrical engineer, of which at least three (5) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to major construction works in chemical, process, water/used water. Industrial projects of similar scale and complexity.

*Experience in PUB project is advantageous.

Contract Period: 5 years

• Assist Resident Engineer in daily close supervision and coordination duties on Building Services mechanical and electrical

• Inspect and supervise Contractors’ works and tests to Approved Drawings and Specifications

• Keep quality records of all works, monitor and report on work progress

• Responsible for the consistency of quality assurance inspections and testing for works

• Implement quality assurance plan in a well-coordinated manner

• Coordinate with Contractors on execution of works

Requirements:

• Registered as Resident Technical Officer with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore / Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance inspections on large infrastructure project, or solid waste management or water infrastructure projects in Singapore.

• The candidate will be assigned duties mainly for Building services (BS) works for both mechanical and electrical aspects, hence candidate to be well versed in BS trade.

• Areas of supervision may include: sanitary and plumbing, fire fighting, ACMV, Electrical distribution, power generation, lighting design, security systems, EVC system, ISMS, ViMS, CCTV, FIDS, BACS, IBMS etc

• Familiarity with BIM software is an advantage
