Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization. The Group CFO will be responsible for driving the financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management, and supporting the organization’s growth and profitability across its various divisions. This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the leadership team to achieve the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and implement the organization's overall financial strategy to support its growth and long-term objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, board of directors, and executive team to guide decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across all business units.
Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, adhering to regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective policies and controls.
- Ensure compliance with international and local financial regulations and standards.
- Establish a robust framework for internal financial audits and controls.
Capital Management:
- Manage the organization’s capital structure, including debt, equity, and working capital.
- Lead fundraising activities, including liaising with investors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate and execute mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in alignment with corporate strategy.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team across multiple regions and business units.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the tools, systems, and training necessary for success.
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Drive financial efficiency through process improvements and cost optimization.
- Partner with operational teams to evaluate and improve financial performance at the business unit level.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including the adoption of financial technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CPA/CA qualification is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in senior financial leadership roles, with a strong track record of success as a CFO or equivalent in a multinational or multi-divisional organization.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a deep understanding of corporate finance and capital markets.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large, diverse teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments and compliance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in board-level presentations.
