About the role:

· Carry out site supervision duties by the Building Control Act.

· Ensure works are done appropriately following the approved drawings.

· Assist the Resident Engineer on all site and/or construction-related matters.

About you:

· Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Registered with IES as Resident Technical Officer (M&E).

· Minimum 10 years of construction experience in supervising mechanical works.

· A person with good communication skills and with ability to work in a team.

Job Responsibilities:

• In charge for technical matter of the project to provide technical support to project and site team.
• Ensure that the overall construction activities, details are coordinated in compliance with client’s and authorities’ requirement.
• Lead and manage a team of design /planning Engineers in coordination of design drawings with consultants to comply with authority requirements.
• Setting goals and targets to ensure that the conflicts and discrepancies within and amongst disciplines are resolved timely for construction on site.
• Review and provide solution to technical problems as well as planning, monitoring and reporting work progress for building and civil projects.
• Assist PM in overall planning, BIM coordination, construction methodology and checking of drawings.
• Conduct Technical Meeting, VDC meeting, etc. to ensure goals and target set for conflicts and discrepancies are resolved timely.
• Ensure that all records / information is properly kept for all activities, events for claims for cost and Extension of Time.
• Upkeep all submission, response for the submission and approval. Monitor the status of the submission and pursue response from the relevant parties once the response is due.
• Formulate value engineering with consideration for time, cost, safety and quality for PM’s review.
• Actively involve and contribute in technical discussions, site planning and site meetings.
• Maintain good working relationship with all parties.
• Maintain good communication with all other department.
• Take proactive measures, propose ways to prevent costs overruns especially related to design.
• Develop and maintain Standard Work Procedures for all critical and major work activities.
• Mentor technical team by providing proper guidance and training.
• Ensure that the drawings / BIM models are updated to the latest information available.
• Ensure that the as-built and O&M manual are prepared correctly and timely.
• Assist PM in the preparation of Project BIM Execution Plan with reference to the Corporate BIM Execution Plan.
• Covering works responsibilities by C&S subordinate
• Other duties which may be assigned by the management

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience
• Proven track record in construction projects.
• With at least 3 years of experience in design consultancy firm will have added advantage.
• Registered Professional Engineer will have added advantage for consideration
• Independent, diligent, meticulous and highly motivated with excellent team spirit.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
• Strong familiarity with authority submissions and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication skills with consultants, client, authority/government agencies and site supervisors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and knowledge of BIM.

*Please note that this role will be hired to support our clients' project for 18 months.

*Work Location: Tuas

*Working days: 5.5 days

*Salary range: $5,000 - $5,800 + gratuity bonus

About the role:

• To check equipment and materials delivered for prefabricated module are in accordance with Singapore code and regulation.
• To witness and check the works use equipment and materials as specified in the contract documents and approved by the Architecture and Engineering Design Firm (AE) are in accordance with Singapore code and regulation.
• To witness and check the installation works are constructed in accordance with the contract specifications and shop drawings approved by the Architecture and Engineering Design Firm (AE) are in accordance with Singapore code and regulation.
• To witness and check the completed works are constructed in accordance with Singapore code and regulation.
• To witness the testing and commissioning (T&C).
• To check the results of the T&C are properly recorded on the spot and complied with Singapore code and regulation.

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• A registered M&E RTO with IES.
• At least 5 years of work experience in the supervision of mechanical and electrical works. Experience in Pharma construction projects is preferred.
• Able to travel to China occassionally to supervise fabrication works in th factory.
• Able to start work immediately.
