Requirement:

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for working on network security projects, including the design, implementation, and operations of IT security infrastructure. The Senior Data Engineer will work on acquiring, storing, governing and processing huge sets of structured / unstructured data. Our Client is an established company in Singapore, who is seeking to recruit a Network Security Engineer to join their Platform Engineering Team.

Network Security Engineer

The Network Security Engineer i is accountable for assisting with developing the design and for implementing a highly secure corporate data and voice network infrastructure in accordance with prescribed architecture and Infosecurity guidelines. The corporate network is an international network, bound by separate security domains based on the sensitivity of traffic and services. Network security is enforced at cross-domain boundaries and also at the points-of-interconnect to the Public Internet and third party service providers. The enforcement of network security at these points ensures the safety and security of all corporate information where only authorised access is possible on an ongoing basis

This role represents an expert technical level, as such demands the ability to operate without supervision for extended periods of time, and the exercising of judgement in consultation with other senior team members.

In addition this role may act as a technical adviser towards documenting security infrastructure housekeeping and related processes.

• Professional Degree or Diploma qualified in Networks Engineering, Telecommunications or related discipline.

· Strong skills in Checkpoint firewalls

· Advanced knowledge of LAN, WAN and Data Centre network architectures and enterprise design.

· Extensive experience and specialist skills in the design and configuration of networking/communications infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies..

· Intermediate project management skills and an ability to prioritise multiple tasks – ability to meet tight schedules and cost targets without compromising customer requirements.

· Ability to control project design and planning activities associated with small to large sized network infrastructure development projects.

· Ability to effectively control and manage issues, risks, dependencies and changes in scope associated with network infrastructure projects.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with a customer service orientation.

· Excellent presentation skills and an ability to convey ideas at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences

· Experience and ability to build and maintain strong technology vendor partnerships.

· Excellent analytical and reasoning skills in solving complex problems

We are looking for an experienced Optical Transmission Network Engineer. This role involves the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced fiber optic transport systems, focusing on technologies such as DWDM, ROADM, ASON, and other Layer 1 and Layer 0 technologies. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful deployment and ongoing performance of network systems

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic transport systems, including DWDM, ROADM, ASON, and related technologies
• Lead high-level and low-level design, developing implementation plans and guiding the deployment process
• Collaborate with the Project Manager in network design, site preparation, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee the buildout and daily operation of customer networks, ensuring optimal performance and stability
• Perform network configurations, troubleshoot technical issues, and monitor system performance to meet customer specifications
• Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to improve network performance and prevent disruptions
• Respond promptly to network incidents, conducting root cause analysis and providing effective resolutions
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and solution presentations to customers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field
• Expertise in network technologies such as SDH, MSTP, OTN, ASON
• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunication project implementation, network planning, and cutover experience in SDH, MSTP, and WDM Networks
• Strong skills in network device configuration and optimization for both efficiency and security
• Proven project management and troubleshooting abilities
• HCIA, CCNA, HDCP, or other related certifications are a plus
