We are looking for a Data Engineer within the DnA team in our Singapore office. This role is offered on a flexible full time basis.

Your key responsibilities:

• Apply data mining, data modelling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyse information from large structured and unstructured datasets
• Develop and implement techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using dataoriented programming languages and visualisation software.
• Visualise, interpret, and report data findings and may create dynamic data reports as well
• Design, develop, and maintain the organization's data architecture, including data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses.
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to efficiently move data from various sources to the data
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to identify and resolve data issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience in ETL, Data Engineering, Scripting.
• Knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or agile delivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches)
• Experience in a delivery role on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data or analytics projects
• Exceptional communication, documentation and presentation skills and stakeholder management experiences
• Experience in business intelligence, data warehousing/platform, and data strategy projects

To qualify for the role, you must have

• At least a Bachelor's degree in any of these faculties: Computer Science/Information Technology/Programming & Systems Analysis/Science (Computer Studies)
• Minimum total 6 years work experience in at least 1 of these job titles: (1) Chief Data Scientist (2) Data Engineer (3) Data Scientist (4) Head of Data Analytics
• Experience in development and maintenance of Data processing pipelines
• Experience developing machine learning workflows
• Work closely with business analysts to create data components
• Application packaging and deployment experience across DEV to PROD environments

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Dashboarding experience with Tableau / Power BI
• Experience in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients

The computer vision / image processing engineer is responsible for developing and implementing algorithms and software tools to process and analyse images for various object detection applications from multiple real-time mission-critical image sources, such as electro-optical, thermal imaging sensors and other sensors.

The job scope includes:

• Research various imaging systems and validate them.
• Using optical metrology techniques, calculate and calibrate cameras for outdoor real-time mission-critical applications
• Designing and testing image processing systems and components, such as filters, edge detectors, feature extractors, classifiers, etc
• Optimising the performance and accuracy of image processing algorithms using techniques such as parallel computing, machine learning, deep learning, etc
• Collaborating with other data scientists, engineers, researchers, and clients to understand the requirements and specifications of image-processing projects
• Document and present the results and findings of image processing experiments and analyses

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, physics, mathematics or a related field
• Experience in image processing and/or computer vision, preferably outdoor systems
• Deep understanding of the imaging systems' sensor characteristics, optical metrology techniques and image signal processing
• Hands-on experience in the image processing pipeline. (Zoom and focus, auto white balance, camera colour conversion, colour space and colour management, etc.)
• Expertise in identifying diverse colour issues within intricate ISP systems and in precision tuning of parameters to achieve optimal image quality
• Knowledge of mathematical modelling, statistical analysis and image processing techniques. (Kalman filtering etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, C++, MATLAB or other programming languages
• Familiarity with popular frameworks and libraries for image processing and machine learning, such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-image or PIL
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Work closely with the project manager and administer the design control system and programming to meet budget and timeline expectations of the project.
• Responsible of modifying controls, designs, and other documents in accordance with processes and standards and in line with industry standards as per the customer's URS.
• Assist and participate in internal the purchase, FAT and SAT, test and debug, controls and validation operations.

Requirements:

• Diploma in engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in control systems design.
• Knowledgeable in Allen Bradley and Siemens-S7 programming
