About the Role:

As a Data Engineer, you’ll take full ownership of our data infrastructure overhaul, focusing on creating a reliable, scalable, and efficient data ecosystem. You’ll address tracking issues, implement robust data governance, and ensure seamless data flows between our Customer Data Platform (Segment), BigQuery, and downstream tools.

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset to work closely with Product, Growth, and Engineering teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Review and resolve tracking inconsistencies, including issues with funnel analysis and data gaps.
• Audit the integration and configuration of Segment and BigQuery, ensuring accurate and complete data collection.
• Conduct a root cause analysis of past tracking issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Build, optimise, and document ETL pipelines to ensure accurate and reliable data flows.
• Enhance tracking schemas, event definitions, and data integration processes to support business needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Growth teams to create a unified tracking plan, ensuring alignment and consistency.
• Develop and enforce data governance standards, including naming conventions, event schemas, and processes for implementing tracking changes.
• Implement real-time monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve data anomalies proactively.
• Create robust processes for testing tracking updates in staging environments before production deployment.
• Provide training and documentation to key team members, enabling them to query and interpret data confidently.
• Evaluate and optimise existing tools like BigQuery and Segment for scalability and evolving business needs.
• Design solutions to accommodate new product features, platforms, and growth initiatives without disrupting existing data flows.

Who You Are:

• Strong expertise in data engineering, with a focus on BigQuery and Segment.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and ETL pipeline development.
• Knowledge of event tracking best practices, including debugging and optimisation for marketing funnels.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as dbt or Apache Airflow.
• Strong understanding of data governance and quality assurance practices.

SAMH manages the Activity Hub, where psychosocial rehabilitative programmes are conducted to assist residents in their recovery from mental illness and to reintegrating them into the community. Activity Hub’s services include occupational therapy, social work, psychological services and vocational placements.

Key Responsibilities

This is a direct client-facing role.

You will ensure the smooth running of our daily programs and promote residents’ quality of life through program co-ordination and support services to help the residents in their daily living. You will have opportunity to interact with stakeholders such as residents, suppliers, external agencies and volunteers etc.

· Programme Co-ordination
Assist in planning and conducting group sessions (eg. Daily living skills, work-related skills, crafts and sports) to engage residents as required

· Vocational services support
Submit records and documents on residents’ attendance and output and ensure that the works are completed satisfactorily

· Support Services not limited to the following:

o Café/Sundry operations (train clients for employment, conduct simple meals preparation, liaise with suppliers to replenish stocks etc)

o Craft programs

Ensure smooth running of daily programs and operations of Social Enterprise

Work with Art Coordinators to have new crafts for sales and SE booths

o IT support

Work with Social Enterprise Team with different types of online retail platforms

Conduct computer and digital skills programs for residents

Plan and organize the annual events for the residents

PRE-REQUISITES

- Qualifications: N / O / A / ITE / Diploma

- Proficient in spoken and written English and fluent in Mandarin and / or Malay / Tamil and at least one other dialect.

- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

- Self motivated and resilience to serve the mental health polulation

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting health data, providing actionable insights to support health policy planning.

Responsibilities

· Utilise statistical methods and analytics tools to analyse datasets related to public health, including health surveys, healthcare utilisation data, and epidemiological studies.

· Interpret and communicate findings to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable data-driven insights for program and health policy planning, and public health interventions.

· Monitor databases to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams to foster creative problem-solving and address complex data analytics issues.

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams from both local and global health organisations and research institutions to conduct research studies.

Qualifications

· Possess extensive knowledge and experience in Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Health Economics or disciplines with substantial quantitative content (e.g. regression, analytics, modelling).

· Work experience in public health, health statistics or epidemiology research environment is preferred.

· Proficient in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata). Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau) will be an added advantage.

· Experience in publishing relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals will be advantageous.

· Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Self-motivated and resourceful, takes initiative in one’s work.

Effective communication skills, and good interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross functionally.
