Job Responsibilities

Research projects administration - Process and manage qualitative and quantitative study data, including the followings:

• Plan, organise and co-ordinate study activities workflow, including participant recruitment and coordination of study teams via regular meetings
• Help PIs devise a data management plan for both qualitative and quantitative studies
• Be able to help with data collection with patients, including the administration of survey and the conduction of qualitative interviews
• Handle data entry (including transcription for qualitative studies) and validation of study data, e.g., ensure that data is correctly recorded.

The Centre for Family and Population Research at Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting 2 Postdoctoral Fellows for the project. This research project aims to develop an evidence base on the role of gender inequality in shaping women's health in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). Using the life course framework, it endeavours to illustrate a series of novel pathways linking gender inequality and gender-based adversities with the health and well-being of women in mid and later-life. The project's objectives include research publications on the topic, the establishment of a global research network on gender inequality and later-life health, and the production of a policy document containing a summary of key research findings, research, and data gaps, as well as policy suggestions.

The postdoc will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PIs to develop multiple research papers. Job duties include, but not limited to, the following:

• Managing and recording all work through our ITSM portal.
• Split tickets that have several issues into their own individual tickets to ensure linear tracking and resolution.
• Ensure tickets are not ‘stale’ throughout the Incident lifecycle process, and all tickets meet the Service Levels (SLA).
• Escalate tickets that require Team Lead or Technical Manager support.
• On-site hardware maintenance and support.
• Create and maintain documentations for on-site processes.
• Make sure that client documentations are well maintained.
• Collaborate with Projects team from time to time, to assist with project implementations on-site.
• Identify, Communicate and Mitigate potential risks to the Service Delivery Manager and clients.
• Adhere to the schedules provided by the Team Leads or Service Delivery Manager.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for daily / weekly recurring tasks.
• Follow all our Security Procedures and keeping a vigilant eye for Security Issues.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
• Contribute to the process of innovative change effectively.
• Undertake other duties as required by the Team Lead or Service Delivery Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Information System of the equivalent).
• ITIL v4 certification will be an advantage.
• CCNA, Microsoft certifications, VMWare or Fortinet certifications will be an advantage.
• At least 2 to 3 years’ work experience as a Level 2 Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Service Desk Engineer or similar roles.
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS environments.
• Hands-on experience in managing Active Directory, M365, MS Exchange, Storage, VPN, Network or virtual computing infrastructure.
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.
• Good knowledge of cloud concepts and networking.
• Excellent ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic to intermediate technical issues.
• Familiarity with remote desktop applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
• Good attention to detail.
• Proactiveness, adaptability and a continuous learning mindset.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years of experience in information technology; covering design, development, and integration demonstrating the ability to articulate complex technical matters to non-technical individuals.
• 2 years of software integration experience with applications, data, and infrastructure involving cloud platforms
• 3 years of application development and configuration for business-critical applications; configuring, debugging, and systems integration including forms, reports, underlying logic, databases, and interface components as a developer.
• Solid practitioner knowledge on methods and tools for delivering application engagements.
• Presales accomplishments with solutions involving applications, infrastructure, and integration.
• Working Knowledge of AI and Data Management
