• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 8 years of software development experience
• At least 5 years’ experience working with C#, and particularly modern, cross-platform .NET
• A good understanding of advanced C# features, such as async/await, dependency injection, etc.
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with excellent fundamentals in complexity analysis
• Excellent ability to analyse code – understand execution flow & debug even without access to a debugger
• Experience with the dotnet command-line interface (CLI), Git, writing and maintaining integration and unit tests
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux, including shell scripting
• Good knowledge of Transact SQL and Entity Framework Core
• Knowledge of a modern web frontend stack

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be equipped with good technical skills in designing, developing and maintaining computer software to apply the principles of software engineering.

Responsibilities:

· Be part of the project team to build innovative Security solutions for Homeland Security, Smart Cities and Critical Infrastructures.

· Be responsible for the technical/solution designs, code development, and component test execution to demonstrate alignment to the product/functional specification of the solution.

· Collaborate with product/solution architects to create, implement and maintain the product/solution development roadmap.

· Ensure all work adheres to Thales software development methodologies and processes

· Thoroughly document design to ensure the usability, supportability and maintainability of the developed

· Provide strong and timely support to IVVQ team and Site deployment

Requirements:

· 5+ years of hands-on experience and expert knowledge of full web application development lifecycle of scalable micro-services-based architectures; including tools, best practices, continuous deployment, dependency/complexity management, scale/performance tuning, monitoring, resiliency, etc.

· Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns

· Experience in SCRUM/Agile software development methodologies

· Proficiency in any of the following language/framework: Java, Spring boot, C#, .Net Core

· Proficiency in HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, Angular

· Working experience with relational database, e.g. PostgresDB, MS SQL Server

· Working experience with ClickHouse is good-to-have

· Working experience with Apache Nifi is good-to-have

· Good knowledge of container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, AWS ECS, etc)

· Experience with virtualization and container and knowledge about Dockers and Kubernetes

· Experience with test automation tools and framework for web application

· Experience with setting up continuous integration (e.g. GitLab CI)

Job Description
As a Pega Professional, you will contribute to the development, delivery, and maintenance of technology-based business solutions. You are skilled in designing, coding, testing, and implementation of configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements. You may also have some oversight responsibility for the technology solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing Pega BPM applications.
• Designing class structures, application frameworks, and data models.
• Coordinating with the project team to ensure the business architecture matches the needs of the customer.
• Integrating business databases, legacy systems, and web services.
• Troubleshooting application issues, coding bugs, and bottlenecks.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

• Be fully competent to take over the existing source code and able to diagnose and resolve any bugs without any assistance from the vendor who developed the application.
• Be fully aware of the current computer architecture that the existing application is hosted as well as the software that is used to support the existing application
• Investigate and correct defects in the Application Software as reported by the Authority including temporary corrections and bypass of the defects until such time when standard corrections and/or updates of the Application Software are available
• Be able to do the testing and the implementation of standard corrections, updates, supply and installation of new versions and new releases of the Application Software and updating of related documentation and materials based on Authority’s standards
• Be able to render advice on the performance tuning of all items of Application Software
• Be able to assist in recovering lost data, restoration and repair of damaged data and the correction of erroneous data to the extent possible
• Be able to assist in restoring the System to an operable state where System Downtime is attributable to Application Software defect or error
• Be able to render advice and guidance to the Authority in the use of the System
• The Authority shall provide all necessary resources (both hardware and software) for the development work
• Provide all documentation, source & executable code developed/amended if applicable (source code shall be documented including revision history)
• Bug fixes and new features/enhancements must clear all security vulnerabilities scan by Authority application scanner
• Provide knowledge transfer sessions for key support staff.
• Knowledge transfer shall also be provided to other vendors who will be taking over the maintenance of the application when the maintenance period with the awarded vendor ends
• May be required to conduct planned or un-planned weekend activities based on application needs such as urgent application system maintenance, application bug fixes and data patches.
• Understand the business domain areas, gather user requirements, analyse and propose solution based on the provided user requirements
• Provide Development services such as, but not limited to, change request, system enhancement and system changes in order to comply with government policies and standards.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years working experience as Software Developer (Java)
• Experienced in handling government project.
• Web application development tools eg. Java, J2EE, Eclipse IDE, WebLogic, WebSphere, HTML, CSS
• Experience in Java Server Faces (JSF), Java Server Pages (JSP), Java Server Pages Standard Tag Library (JSTL)
