ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Analysts in building and managing data products, including the SISTIC Data Warehouse/Data Lake.
• Contribute to data pipeline development by learning from experienced engineers and assisting with tasks like design, testing, and documentation.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot issues in existing data pipelines, gaining experience for future improvements.
• Gain exposure to building data pipelines by working on smaller components or contributing to specific stages.
• Support data warehouse and database maintenance under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Learn to monitor data pipelines and identify potential issues.
• Write clean and well-documented code under the supervision of experienced engineers.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Strong foundation in computer science or a related field (e.g., coursework, projects)
• Core engineering concepts: Demonstrate a strong desire to learn about core data engineering concepts, such as data pipelines (ETL processes) and data storage solutions (data warehouses and data lakes). Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform would be a plus.
• Strong foundation in Python and SQL: This demonstrates the intern's ability to work with data manipulation tools commonly used in data engineering.

Develop a predictive analytics solution to discern customer preferences, behavioural patterns, and evolving market trends across various channels.

This solution should seamlessly offer personalized product recommendations, mitigate decision fatigue, streamline product discovery, accurately forecast churn likelihood, and optimize omnichannel strategies for sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection and Cleaning
• Collecting, processing, and cleaning data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Preparing data sets for analysis by identifying and addressing any inconsistencies or missing values.

• Data Analysis
• Analysis of large datasets using statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
• Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
• Development of predictive models and algorithms.

• Model Development and Evaluation
• Development and implementation of machine learning models for predictive analytics and enabling stakeholders to use these models for outreach campaigns.

• Plan, coordinate and conduct programmes for our Family, Children and Youth.
• Assist in the coordination and management of our volunteers.
• Assist in our Assistance & Referral services to the families.
• Attend to clients’ needs (e.g. phone call enquiries, walk-ins, home visits if required).
• Create FCY newsletter and other marketing collaterals such as poster, flyers, etc.
• Provide data collection, data entry and administrations relating to FCY.
