The Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre (慈光乐陶苑及智障日间活动中心) were set up in December 2000 to offer community care options to adults with intellectual disabilities who are aged between 18 and 55.

Funded by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the former is a purpose-built facility designed to accommodate 103 residents, whereas the latter is supported under the MSF and Tote Board Social Service Fund to provide day care services for a capacity of 50 beneficiaries.

1. Main Responsibilities

THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sick, families, persons with disabilities, and children. RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Planning and Implementation

• Develop and implement Outreach plan/follow-up visits to seniors in the identified blocks.
• Develop and implement annual calendar plan of social and health activities for seniors.
• Ensure that the programmes and activities meet the performance indicators and operating guidelines issued by MOH, AIC, or MSF via their reporting systems, etc.
• Establish and motivate seniors to run mutual help groups.
• To conduct regular outreach to the seniors in identified HDB blocks/Private residences with the aim of registering all seniors within its service boundary and carry out regular visits to vulnerable and socially isolated seniors to monitor their well-being.

Volunteer Development

• Recruit, interview and screen potential volunteers.
• Establish networks with local community-based services/resources, such as grassroots, social services, corporate organisations and schools, to engage volunteers to help run or assist in the programmes.
• Provide and coordinate orientation of volunteers to their assigned role and the mission and objectives of the AAC.
• Serve as the key communication link between the AAC and its volunteers.

• Polytechnic Diploma in any Discipline
• WSQ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma in Social Services

Our client is currently a major player within the facilities management space. They've currently won a number of projects and are looking for skilled individuals to join them in Singapore as a Technical Executive.

Responsibilities

• Assist Building Manager in the daily operations.
• Supervise, plan and organize a team of on-site contractors in carrying out planned and ad-hoc maintenance works.
• Investigate, check and analyze reported breakdowns & faults to determine their cause for the prevention of future occurrences.
• Supervise upgrading projects, if required
• Carry out regular inspection to the facilities and systems and ensure their functionality and reliability.
• Communicate well in English (both spoken and written) and is expected to establish good working rapport with stakeholders.
• Ensure contractors carry out works in accordance with contract requirements, including evaluation of contractors’ performance and review of contract specifications.
• Follow up with term contractors on defects rectification after servicing work.

Job Requirements

• Diploma holder with minimum 3 years in Mechanical & Electrical and security system experience

• Working location : Central regions (Hougang, Chinatown)
• They will only be station to 1 permanent site.
• Working hours 8.30 to 6pm (Mon to Fri), Sat (To Standby, they will be activated if they are holding events, activities and if there are contingency plan)
