About the Role:

The Network Engineer is primarily responsible for day-to-day technical support of the global network. This includes activities associated with engineering, implementation, operations and end user support for the LAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, and related systems. The engineer is responsible for services utilizing current procedures, adhering to change management controls and escalating technical issues for input and guidance as required. The role is also responsible to help identify, analyze, document and manage the implementation of both short term tactical and longer term strategic solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness and service quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Deploy, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network equipment and software platforms to include but not limited to: Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, Cisco Catalyst Switching, Cisco Aironet Wireless as well as Cisco Meraki wireless, SolarWinds NPM, NTA, NCM, Cisco DNA, Device42 (documentation).

· Provide and manage a secure, high-performance network.

· Create, maintain, and update diagrams/documentation of evolving environment and operational procedures.

· Support installation and decommissioning of network circuits.

· Troubleshoot and report provider issues to carrier and work to resolution.

· Analyze and make recommendations on circuit requirements.

· Interface and communicate with customers on network requests and support issues, follow through to completion and provide updates through helpdesk application.

· Engage and coordinate with vendors for projects, MACs and incidents.

· Provide technical guidance to other team members.

· Work cross-functionally with internal and external peers to accomplish assignments.

· Travel to offices in North America and other remote locations from time to time for projects.

· Track work for all work performed within our ticket system (ServiceDesk Plus) or project management system (Monday.com).

Job Requirements:

1. Qualification
   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 1 year of information systems experience, or a diploma with 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, 6 years of progressive information systems experience may substitute for a degree.
2. Professional Experience
   • Minimum 3 years of experience in network environments, including switching, routing, wireless, and SD-WAN.
   • Strong knowledge of Cisco/Meraki technologies; Cisco certifications (CCNA or CCNP) are a plus.
   • Proficient in layer 2 and layer 3 configurations and understanding of call distribution and VoIP call routing.
   • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio), with the ability to create documentation, diagrams, project schedules, and timelines.
3. Additional Requirements
   • Must be available for on-call remote or on-site support outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays, for emergency situations.
   • Ability to lift or move up to 35kg as needed.

Responsibilities
The requirement requires an experienced network data analyst. The role will be responsible for execution on our network capacity planning strategy and best practices. Under the direction and leadership of the Network Capacity Planning Product Manager, the primary responsibility of this analyst is to gather information from networking monitoring tools and system logs, analyse the information to make informed decisions regarding the enterprise network’s capacity and performance.

Functional Responsibilities

· Collaborate with demand management, network teams, and business units to understand current and future network requirements for capacity planning aligned with business goals.

· Conduct thorough analysis of network traffic, utilization rates, and performance metrics using predictive analysis to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Incorporate historical data and consider projected growth and scalability requirements.

· Collaborate with network engineers and implementation teams to plan hardware upgrades or enhancements to components of the network infrastructure.

· Provide regular reports to management and stakeholders, including KPIs, utilization metrics, and recommendations for optimizing network capacity.

· Identify and mitigate potential risks related to capacity failures, network congestion, and implement measures to minimize performance degradation and outages.

· Participate in cross-functional projects, collaborating with project teams to incorporate capacity planning requirements into project plans and timelines.

Qualification and Experience

· 8+ years of strong engineering or operations experience with the components of a large global network infrastructure such as Routers, switches, LAN/SD-WAN, Load Balancer, Wireless, Cloud Networking and etc

· 2 years of specific experience in analytics or able to clearly articulate data driven decision making process

· Familiarity with network monitoring, reporting, and observability tools such as: SevOne, Logic Monitor, Thousand Eyes, Moogsoft, Dynatrace, NetBrain and/or Elastic

· Administration experience with monitoring tools in creating policies, fine-tuning parameters and setting proper thresholds will be added advantage

· Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and/or Python

· Experience in Ansible will be added advantage

· Experience in production of regular capacity report which will highlight actionable items based on the logic used. Development of key thresholds that will trigger improvement action plan would be added advantage

Job Responsibilities

• Design and execute the standardization of workplace and infrastructure solution across the group, taking into consideration industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Implement and manage workplace technology solutions including end users’ devices, telephony, collaboration and office productivity tools, managed print. These will include the focus on Microsoft 365 suite, including emerging technologies like Microsoft Co-Pilot.

Job Requirements

• Experience in implementing and managing Microsoft infrastructure (i.e. Microsoft 365), including Active Directory, ADFS, Azure AD, SCCM, end point management tools.

• Familiar with WAN routing protocols, QOS, COS and experienced with Telco’s business and operations and network protocols like DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.

Able to configure CISCO, Fortinet, Juniper, Firewall & Antivirus, and other security software.

Mandatory Skills: Big Data, Data pipeline, Apache and Hadoop

Experience: 6 - 8 yrs

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

- Strong in data engineering concepts and programming

- Experience in building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

- Experience in supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
