RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for web applications.
• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee all testing phases, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security.
• Implement automation frameworks and optimize testing tools for continuous testing.
• Manage defect tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution to ensure seamless delivery.
• Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and regulatory standards for web platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience of working experience in software testing and 2 years in leadership role
• Proficiency with QA tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Postman) and automation frameworks (e.g., Katalon Studio, pCloudy).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, along with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and end-to-end QA for complex web applications.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

i. The Software Quality Engineer shall have at least a Diploma in Computer Studies, or related discipline, and completed at least one (1) project using Scrum or equivalent as the Agile software development framework, and three (3) years’ experience as a software tester in the Software Platform involved in the project.
ii. Software Quality Engineers who are Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) and above would be advantageous.

Software automation skill is preferred

Operational:

• Providing System Assurance (RAMS) services on SYSTRA railway projects which may include preparation, review and assessment of RAMS documentation,
• Participate / lead projects’ delivery including managing the client’s relationship and attending meetings with and other stakeholders on RAMS matters,
• Manage and deliver RAMS services to meet the defined time, cost and quality up to customer satisfaction.

Desired Profile:

• Relevant engineering Degree from a recognized educational institution,
• Have at least 2 years solid experience in delivering RAMS studies for complex engineering projects,
• Familiar with standards on RAMS,
• Knowledge in a wide variety of RAMS activities (such as PHA, SSHA, IHA, OSHA, QRA, SIL Assessment, RAM Modelling/Predictions),
• Excellent spoken and written English,
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and appropriate specialist software, e.g. FTA & RBD software applications,
• Good inter personal and communication skills,
• Being able to demonstrate success in relationship building and teamwork,
• Be versatile and adaptable,
• Having proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills to identify practical and effective resolutions to projects’ challenges.

• Work with the project/ engineering teams to create a test-driven engineering culture that drives measurable improvements in quality for various software products/ projects.
• Work with engineering, support and business owners to triage quality issues.
• Manage outsourced QA/ testing suppliers to deliver the desired outcome.
• Build test automation across all software products/ projects to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Develop plans to execute quality testing:

1. Identify suitable quality measures for testing based on product attributes valued most by users
2. Develop quality testing approaches and steps to satisfy test objectives
3. Develop comprehensive test plans outlining the testing scope, approach, resources, and schedule.

• Design tests:

1. Create test scenarios based on business requirements and project goals.
2. Work closely with business stakeholders to simulate real-world usage scenarios.
3. Create detailed and well-structured test cases based on functional and technical specifications.

• Execute quality testing:

1. Execute manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, reliability, and performance of software applications.
2. Implement automated test cases and codes for quality testing to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
3. Identify operating and usage conditions in which performance of quality measures drops.
