RESPONSIBILITIES

• External Grants Administration
• During the pre-award stage: Assist grant applicants who are interested in applying for research grants, and review research grant applications so as to ensure that the applications meet the funding agencies' requirements.
• During the post-award stage: Review progress reports and grant variations prepared by grant awardees for onward submission to funding agencies. This includes advice on justifications for grant variations, checks for accuracy, consistency, and completeness for the various reports to be submitted to the funding agencies.
• Research Contracting
• Review RCAs together with internal stakeholders to ensure that terms are aligned with the university's positions for research collaboration agreements and the university's interests, while escalating non-standard clauses to management for discussion and approval.
• Negotiate RCAs with external research partners together with internal stakeholders.
• Multi-disciplinary And Knowledge Exchange Research X (MAKER-X) engagements
• Support the planning and logistics for MAKER-X engagements.
• Executing the engagements and post-workshop follow-ups according to the approved agenda, which include performing any secretariat duties and regular reporting to management on outcomes from each engagement.
• Execute thematic research grant calls and review process for research collaborations with strategic research partners.
• Planning & Policy
• Support SMU university level research meetings by providing secretariat support, preparing meeting materials and monitoring and following up from meeting discussions.
• Articulate SMU research activities and performance of SMU in research in reports to SMU senior management and external stakeholders such as MOE.
• Review or draft university level research policies and attend to ad hoc policy related queries with regard to Research Data Management.
• Any other matters in other ORe functions where assistance is required.

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in any major.
• Minimum 7 or more years of working experience is preferred.
• Experience in research and grant management, and report writing will be highly advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to influence and communicate effectively with external stakeholders, faculty and senior management.
• Pro-active, independent and resourceful with strong decision-making skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Meticulous, attention to detail, and exercise care in delivering quality work.
• Resourceful and responsible.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in the use of online meeting platforms for virtual meetings such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Support the management of data effectively to achieve project goals and enhance engagement with all stakeholders.
• Develop and implement a robust health data system for use in medical contexts, optimizing the functionality of health products with advanced big data infrastructure.
• Engage in the establishment and upkeep of data warehouses. Catalog and strategize data resources based on operational needs, creating a comprehensive data asset framework to assure quality and security, and facilitate the seamless exchange and use of data.
• Construct and maintain a reliable data pipeline. Oversee the integrity and governance of both offline and real-time data throughout processing stages.
• Collaborate in the research and creation of data-driven products and applications, building a repository of data strategies and methodologies. Work alongside teams from operations, product development, and medical education to unlock the potential of data in driving business objectives.
• Mentor and provide professional development for junior and intermediate data R&D engineers by conducting training sessions, performing code reviews, and employing other methods to enhance the team's overall skill set.

• Knowledgeable about distributed computing frameworks, including but not limited to Hadoop, Hive, Flink, Spark, Hudi, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Competent in handling large-scale data processing and real-time data computation.
• Acquainted with big data analysis engines like Kylin, Clickhouse, and Presto.
• Familiar with the implementation or data integration of international mainstream electronic medical record systems.

Qualifications:

• Holds a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in big data, previous experience in health tech or healthcare industry is a plus.
• Well-versed in medical data standards and models, such as FHIR and OMOP.

• This position is for College of Integrative Studies / IPCC Working Group II Technical Support Unit (CIS)
• Coordinate and oversee science-related aspects of the TSU.
• Manage the scientific support for the Working Group II activities and products during the Seventh Assessment cycle.
• Develop and manage processes for scoping, preparation, review, and completion of reports.
• Collaborate closely with Working Group II Co-Chairs and Bureau to shape and guide scientific aspects of assessments.
• Support the development of summary products such as the Summary for Policymakers and Technical Summary, as well as the Synthesis Report.
• Coordinate scientific contributions to Working Group II meetings and sessions.
• Supervise scientific staff in the Working Group II TSUs.
• Maintain communication and collaboration with Heads of Science from other TSUs.

• PhD in climate- or environmental-science related field, preferably in the following fields: climate change impacts, climate adaptation, environmental modelling, socio-economic system analysis; and at least 10 years of work experience in the abovementioned or related fields.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Marketing and Corporate Communications
  • Assist with the development of print collaterals for marketing of SMUs Postgraduate Research (PGR) programmes and provide advisement to schools, coordinating a standardised look-and-feel of the programme-specific brochures.
  • Support the promotion of PGR programmes across appropriate digital marketing channels, including Search Engine Marketing campaigns, display advertisements and developing research videos, blog posts, opinion editorials, e-flyers and e-newsletters.
  • Assist with the interviews of PGR students for write-ups or videos on their experiences and research achievements.
  • Work in partnership with SMUs Corporate Communications and Marketing team to provide guidance on university-level branding policies to key internal stakeholders managing PGR programmes.
  • Maintain CGRS websites (both public-facing and intranet).
  • Prepare and send publicity materials for various CGRS events and activities.
• Recruitment and Partnership Liaison
  • Assist with the implementation of a university-level recruitment strategy for SMUs PGR programmes to promote the alignment of PGR student recruitment in accordance with national-level directives.
  • Coordinate with Schools on overseas outreach and recruitment events to establish SMUs presence in the high priority markets.
  • Support centrally coordinated outreach events like the annual CGRS Open House, HeadHunt Postgraduate Fair and Information Sessions to increase the quality of recruitment leads.
  • Support the establishment of partnerships with academic institutions to promote dual-degree PhD or collaborative degree programmes.
  • Manage a streamlined onboarding process for international collaborations relating to SMUs PGR programmes.
• General
  • Support the analysis and reporting of SMUs annual recruitment data for PGR programmes in accordance with national-level directives.
  • Assist with the ROI measurement of various marketing, recruitment and outreach campaigns.
  • Maintain CGRSs mailing lists for recruitment leads and graduate placements.
  • Custodian of CGRS common mailboxes, ensuring that emails are responded in a timely manner.
  • Serve as CGRSs Assistant Data Protection Officer Representative.
  • Support institutional benchmarking research to drive the review and development of PGR educational policies to ensure relevance and alignment with best practices;
  • Business improvement projects to increase productivity and drive consistency in business solutions that cut across the SMU schools; Gather user feedback and partner key stakeholders to assess outcomes of improvement or change management projects;
  • CGRS teammates with other responsibilities, duties and tasks, as required.

• University Degree with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience with good administrative and organisational skills.
• Prior experience in understanding the tertiary education landscape would be an advantage.
• Experience in organising student activities and events management will be an advantage.
• Experience in managing and updating social media and web content.
• Able to design event marketing collaterals using design application (Canva).
• Good communications (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisation and execution skills, and an eye for detail are essential.

You will be supporting Mendaki Club’s (MClub) Secretariat Team, as an intern, and will have opportunities to learn and work in meaningful MClub programmes and/or projects. You will also provide basic assistance in the financial operations for the volunteer-led organization.

You will be expected to work between stipulated time on weekdays but will also be required to work on evenings and over weekends, to support executive committee meetings and programmes (claimable via working hours time-off).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Designing own research to be done based on topic of choice, that would be of benefit to MClub or the MM eco-system in Singapore.
• Supporting Data Team in creating, distributing, collecting, analysing and reporting of data and research for all MClub’s programmes.
• Supporting Data Team in analysing and implementing the best data management system for all MClub’s data and information.
• Supporting Programme Team to execute community programmes, benefitting the MM youths.
• Coordinating the logistical and administrative needs of community programmes.

• Menu development and Research & Development activities supporting Chef Partner’s concepts
• Organisation and documenting of new and current recipes into a system that is easily utilised by the culinary operations team, ensuring SOPs, recipes are followed
• Conducting training and development of recipes to current and new staff under Chef Partner’s concepts
• Support the Chef Partner in planning and manage activities with the Marketing department relating to overseas events that the Chef Partner is engaged in
• Logistical liaison and project manager for overseas promotional/4-hands trips that the Chef Partner is engaged in to both external and internal contacts
• Food cost and savings for concepts under Chef Partner
