Job Description

The Data Center Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our data centre infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's operation, including power, cooling, fire protection, security, and environmental controls. Other responsibilities include managing data center floor space and security. You will also lead a team of outsourced technicians and contractors, to manage projects, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key objectives are to:

•Maximize uptime: Ensure the data centre infrastructure meets the required availability levels and minimizes downtime, preventing outages, service and data loss.

•Maintain system redundancy: Implement and manage redundant systems for critical infrastructure to ensure smooth operation even during maintenance or unexpected events. Ensure maintenance regime is adhered to and any arising gaps remediated in a timely manner.

•Control operational expenses: Manage budgets effectively and find cost-saving opportunities for maintenance, upgrades, and external services

•Plan and strategize data center requirements to meet SIA current and future IT roadmap.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage:

•A team of outsourced data centre technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

•Projects related to the maintenance, upgrade, and expansion / optimization of the data centre infrastructure.

•Hosting sites are run as per SLA and within limits of key data centre operating parameters for power cooling and environmental settings

•Emergency response plans for diverse scenarios like power outages, fires, or natural disaster

Ensure optimal performance:

•Of critical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, and security systems.

•Of the data centre environment, maintaining optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality.

•Of operational efficiency and resource utilization.

Plan and execute:

•Preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions for identified issues.

•Emergency response procedures in case of power outages, equipment failures, or other disruptions.

•Budgetary allocation and resource management for the data centre facilities.

Maintain compliance:

•With all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

•Lead and manage data center audits

Collaborate:

•With IT and other teams to ensure the smooth integration of data centre operations with other critical functions.

Data Cente strategy and migration:

•Responsible for providing Data centre design and construction inputs, sustainability initiatives, and energy efficiency optimization

•Work with IT team for data centres space and power requirements

•Work with and support IT team for any data centre migration as required

•Responsible for writing Datacenter related tenders such as maintenance contract, co-location sourcing etc. and writing management approval papers.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with minimum 5 years relevant industry experience or Diploma in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in datacentre infrastructure and facility management

•Familiar with fire safety rules and regulations associated with operating complex datacenter infrastructure

•Proficient in data centre monitoring and management software

•Familiar with data center fiber and structure cabling would be a added advantage

•Possess Datacenter certification eg. CDCP, CDFOM

•Familiar with TIA-942-B design standards for Datacenter, Uptime Standards and ASHRAE requirements

A firmware engineer position is available at Respiree Pte Ltd. The purpose of this role is to develop firmware and/or software as part of a highly integrated custom embedded processing system used in products developed by Respiree.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded software for new electronic products ranging from simple microcontroller-based solutions to highly complex embedded systems

• Spearhead, plan & execute building A&A works, warehouse setup, space relocation and office renovation works including liaison with all authorities.
• Apply proven technologies and innovative solutions and be responsible to ensure professional maintenance of existing installations
• Support operations with existing installations where there are needs to improve or upgrade equipment
• Assess the maintenance needs and costing analysis of re-works of equipment. Executes test protocols during all project phases, and participates in design reviews
• In conjunction with procurement and suppliers ensure that routine maintenance schedules and upgrades are done in a timely and quality manner.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Facilities Management or any equivalent fields
• 10 years’ professional experience, in either Facilities Management/Fire Safety & workplace safety and/or in Logistics Operations management in warehouse
• Excellent knowledge of logistics automation methods and techniques
• You have already implemented or worked with automated logistics systems.
• Past proven achievement in driving cost-effectiveness for CAPEX and OPEX.
• Able to train, motivate and inculcate team work.

Working Location: West of Singapore (Joo Koon)

Responsibilities:

• Develop new applications / sub-modules in accordance to the technical and system design specifications for the Taxi Business
• Maintain and enhance the existing modules / applications and implement the system changes based on the functional specifications given
• Propose and implement new methodology / framework / algorithm which will benefit the development processes as well as business goals
• Interact extensively with internal /external business users to understand business issues and challenges for Taxi business, translating the above into technical specifications for system design and development
• Provide guidance to staff / system developers on system development and design
• Lead and manage the assigned projects plus on-going support activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent discipline
• At least 10 years of Software Development with 4 years leadership experience
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows platforms, Java, C# and .NET
• Familiar with databases and application servers such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and JBoss
• Strong software engineering skills with a track record of delivering web applications and APIs
• Strong organizational skills,attention to detail and tenacityfor follow-through
