Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, translating them into actionable project plans.
Tool Selection and Implementation:
Oversee selection and implementation of metadata management tool, ensuring it meet the organization's needs and integrate effectively with existing systems.
Conduct POCs involving new data technologies. Prioritize implementation scope for incremental coverage; Independently install, customise and integrate soft ware packages and programs.
Maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure a platform centric management of software applications
Lifecycle Management: Manage full lifecycle of metadata management and data lineage initiatives, from conception and design to implementation, maintenance, and optimization of end to end data lineage extraction; provide remediation for broken data lineage across multi ple technologies, products and platforms.
Review & deliver documents such as soluti on design, program specifi cati ons for target soluti ons Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functi onal teams, including data stewards, IT professionals, and business analysts, infrastructure & informati on security teams, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to metadata management and data lineage; Create frameworks, technical features which helps in establishing end to end data lineage for Criti cal Data Elements Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, performance & SLA monitoring and completeness of metadata and data lineage informati on in SIT, UAT and producti on environment Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors providing metadata management solutions, overseeing their contributions to the successful implementation of the projects. Project Management & Risk Management: Plan, execute, and deliver metadata management and data lineage projects within scope, on time, and within budget. Identify and mitigate risks associated with metadata management and data lineage projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulati ons. Training and Documentation: Provide inputs for training programs and ensure documentati on to enhance understanding and adopti on of metadata management and data lineage best practi ces within the organization.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance of metadata management and data lineage initi ati ves, making adjustments as needed to meet objecti ves. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent and eff ecti ve communicati on with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
Convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in simple ways. Technical Skills
6+ years of experience in implementing data governance solutions with a strong background in deploying such solutions, encompassing both on-premise and cloud-based models. Metadata Management Tools: Proficiency in using metadata management tools such as Informatica IDMC, IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog or equivalent tools (Collibra, Alati on, Solidatus) Data Lineage Tools: Experience with data lineage tools like Informatica IDMC, IBM Manta or similar solutions to establish and visualize end-to-end data flows.
Identi fy and build both business and technical lineage, including strategies for fi xing lineage breaks Database Technologies: In-depth knowledge of various database technologies, including but not limited to Hadoop, Teradata, SAS, Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra DB. ETL/ELT Tools: Experti se in ETL/ELT tools like Informati ca PowerCenter, SSIS, and other data integrati on platf orms to understand and document transformati on logic. Scripti ng and Programming: Profi cient in scripti ng languages (e.g., Bteq scripts, Spart ETL) and programming languages to support metadata extracti on and manipulati on. On-Premise Container Soluti ons: Experti se with Red Hat Open Container Platform; showcasing proficiency in overcoming complexities related to deploying, managing, and optimizing applications in this environment.

Tools: Experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau to create intuitive representations of metadata and data lineage. Knowledge in Data modelling, working with calculations, leveraging the Set Analysis Experience in Implementing RBAC policies for various user groups such as Data Owners, stewards, consumers/stakeholders etc within the metadata management tool
