Team Introduction

The Business Infrastructure team aims to provide unified access layer and architecture depth services for the organisation's internal business lines and products. Based on the internal infrastructure, Volcano Engine (or other public clouds) has two types of Infrastructure providers and is responsible for the organisation's architecture stability, architecture disaster recovery and service experience.

The Middleware team is a bridge between the internal users and their important data stored in the infrastructure systems or public cloud service. In this team, we use a lot of modern techniques, like service mesh/governance, DTS for various types of storage, and different strong consistency models, to help users run the same copy of code in different service providers. At the same time, we build probing services to evaluate service quality between different providers and help users to reduce their costs.

What you will be doing:

1. Contribute to the data transfer service for different types of storage products and make it scalable, stable with high performance.

2. Work together with the service mesh team to build a fully functional/high-performance/robust storage mesh layer.

3. Build a service to manage the storage metadata, and their credentials as well, running on different public cloud platforms.

4. Build an SLA service to make the service quality on different public cloud platforms accurate, reliable, visualized, and easy to diagnose issues for users.

5. Work with the other teams in the company to join different services together to promote the impacts our products bring to the world.

Qualifications

Job Purpose

This role will provide technical support in the solution, design, development, Implementation and maintenance of the Great Eastern Enterprise Stream Processing Platform.

The Job

· Involves in architecture, design & development of distributed messaging system/streaming platform.

· Assists in the design and implementation of our Kafka application architecture.

· Designs, build and maintain Kafka topics, producers and consumers for new and existing applications to help facilitate development team onboard Kafka. Help educate teams on Kafka standard practices.

· Contributes to the tuning and architecture with a strong understanding of related Kafka Connect and Linux fundamentals.

· Monitors and observes Kafka health metrics and alerts, taking action proactively and in a timely manner

· Supports all planned maintenance activities, BAU activities for Kafka Platform including any emergency maintenance.

· Performs upgrades for Kafka Platform.

· Implements standard security practices for securing Kafka platform

· Contributes to the technical vision, architecture and implementation for our streaming platform; including CI/CD, Self-Service Interfaces, Feature Development and Continuous Delivery.

· Develops Utility Services & Reusable Asset Library:

a) Build and document components, code or other assets that can be leveraged by project teams. Includes value-added services that are non-BU specific and might otherwise be redundantly developed and maintained by each area.

· Performs Unit Testing and Support Integration Testing

Our Requirements

· 8+ years of overall experience in professional IT/Software engineering.

· At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with managing distributed messaging systems, like multiple Kafka clusters.

· Extensive experience in working with Kafka ecosystem (Kafka Brokers, Kafka Connect, Zookeeper) in production (open source or enterprise distributions).

· Exposure to Confluent stack (Confluent ksqlDB, Rest Proxy, Schema Registry, Control Centre) will be highly appreciated.

· 2+ years of experience in administration and configuration of Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka platform.

· Have experienced in the development and deployment of Apache Kafka and middleware automation for enterprise wide consumption.

· Have experienced using Bitbucket, Bamboo, Nexus, Kibana, Elastic Search, FileBeat.

· Have experienced & knowledge on implementing various security standards (TLS, mTLS, PKI, Encryptions, Authentication, Authorization) used in securing Kafka clusters.

· Experienced or working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Boot, Java.

· Have implemented & well versed with digital/internet web technologies like RESTful Web Services, SOAP Web Services, ESB, JSON, XML, JSON Schemas, XML Schemas, HTML5, HTTP, FTP and JavaScript.

· Good to have experience in JMS messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ etc.

· Prefer with Banking or Insurance industry experience.

Job Description

The Wireless Applications Software Engineer is responsible for supporting wireless communications topics. This person will be responsible for developing example applications for the company & customer evaluation hardware, debugging device level software issues, supporting the field team with customer issues, and developing device drivers for use with our MCU product family. The person will be working closely with the field team assisting customers with integration of their solutions to the platforms. This person will be involved in the hardware design process for customer evaluation and system test hardware platforms, and will also assist with the development of system test software.

• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to analyze and debug complex systemlevel issues and develop software solutions.
• Bridge the communication between field and engineering teams for field issues and manage issue status tracking.
• Become the “go-to” person for supporting wireless communications issues from field engineering.
• Design, debug, porting, and analysis of embedded microcontroller software drivers, algorithms, application code, board support packages, automated scripts, and design test cases to provide the required functionality to end customers
• Develop custom automated software functions and applications to facilitate microcontroller performance analysis and silicon issue debug

Requirements

• The candidate must have expertise in embedded development for ARM-based processors in C for wireless communications systems utilizing Bluetooth LE and

• Experience debugging and testing IoT or wearable devices is very desirable. In addition, this individual must have strong communication skills and experience working with customers and field teams.

Specific Experience

• MS in ECE or Computer Science and 5-8 years of experience or BS ECE/CS with 10+ years of experience
• Experience developing embedded MCU code in C/C++ required
• Embedded development experience with Bluetooth Classic, BLE, and Dual Mode Bluetooth Radios
• Experience with embedded systems in real-time environments (bare metal and RTOS)
• Experience with at least one MCU IDE from ARM, Keil, IAR, Eclipse, or other
• Experience with other short-range technologies, including WIFI, ANT+, and Zigbee is desirable
• Familiarity with MCU peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, SDIO
• Experience working hands-on in the lab with various testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, etc.
