1. Performs a variety of legal activities (including but not limited to contract reviews, establishment of local contact template, dispute resolution, etc.) to protect the company’s reputation and business interests;
2. Carry on the compliance evaluation for the company’s new business model and offer pragmatic and practical solution to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
3. Provide legal training and updates on new laws and regulations in accordance with the business needs;
4. Advise and counsel to the company’s staff and leadership in areas such as contract law, trademark/patents, advertisement, labor law, auto industry laws, customs and excise, taxation etc. in related to the operations;
5. Perform corporate governance functions for the company, including fulfilling all applicable reporting and filing requirements relating to the board and shareholders meeting;
6. Interfacing and negotiating effectively with external third parties on behalf of the company. Being an effective business partner;
7. Make regular summary and filing of legal works of the company, and maintain continuous, accurate and timely communication between/reporting to the company’s HQ;
8. Implement the group company legal management principals and assist the company’s HQ to establish local legal management system, including contract/project/dispute/litigation management, risk and compliance management.
Requirement:
1. Admitted to practice law in the Republic of Indonesia;
2. Min 3 years solid legal practice specialized in auto industry and work experience in law firms/Multinational Corporation is preferred;
3. Able to handle basic legal affairs independently (such as draft and review legal documents and has strong business acumen and ability to provide practical resolutions balancing risk control and commercial needs);
4. Strong self-learning skill and keep abreast of policy and legal developments and enforcement trends and alert business of any foreseeable risks;
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skill and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrix organization; Positive disposition; Open-minded; Result driven; Team player; Proactive and Detail-oriented; and
6. Strong ability to work under pressure and accept business trip;
7. Bilingual in Chinese and English in order to liaise with colleague from HQ China.
