Key Responsibilities:
1. Security Monitoring:
- Monitoring of security cameras, alarms, and access control systems to identify and respond to security threats and breaches.
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the premises to maintain a visible security presence.
2. Access Control:
- Verify the identity and authorization of employees, visitors, and contractors entering the facility.
- Issue visitor badges and maintain accurate records of visitor logs.
3. Security Checks:
- Perform routine security checks of designated areas, including locking and unlocking doors, gates, and entrances.
- Inspect and report any irregularities, such as unauthorized personnel, suspicious packages, or safety hazards.
4. Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations.
- Follow established emergency procedures and assist in evacuations if necessary.
5. Incident Reporting:
- Document all security-related incidents, including thefts, accidents, or violations of security policies.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and share them with relevant authorities and management.
6. Customer Service:
- Provide a high level of customer service to employees, visitors, and guests.
- Assist individuals with directions, information, or any security-related inquiries.
- Assist with all relevant check-in / check-out of residents or guests in the boarding school.
7. Security Procedures:
- Enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols consistently and fairly.
- Collaborate with management to review and update security procedures as needed.
8. Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure that security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarms, is in good working condition.
- Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
9. Safety Awareness:
- Promote a culture of safety and security awareness among employees.
- Participate in security training and drills as required.
10. Collaboration:
- Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary.
- Work closely with other security personnel and team members to ensure a cohesive security strategy.
11. Any other duties assigned by the Management
Requirements:
- GCE āNā Level / SPM
- Holder of a valid Security Licence with the grade Senior Security Officer
- Possess WSQ Security-related Senior Security Officer certifications.
- Proven experience as a Senior security officer
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and lift as needed.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Basic computer skills for operating security equipment and generating reports.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to security and safety.
- Able to perform shift work ranging from 8hrs to 12hrs during weekday, weekend or public holiday.
