Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement legal and compliance efforts for the company
- Ensure legal compliance in operations
- Manage contract drafting and negotiation
- Develop legal strategies and solutions
- Mitigate legal risks and develop policies
- Oversee dispute resolution and litigation
- Provide advice on laws and regulations affecting the company's operations
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments in Singapore and the industry
- Support corporate governance actions
- Provide legal training and awareness
- Manage external relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (Master's preferred)
- Singapore or PRC bar qualified, or common law qualified lawyer with substantial practice history
- At least 5 years of experience in a renowned law firm or as in-house legal counsel for a big or medium sized enterpirse
- Experience in commodity trading or the petrochemical industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Singapore law is a MUST
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese languages for legal document writing
