Description

Apple is seeking a security professional to join its Information Security Response Organization, as part of the

Threat Analysis and Incident Response function. A successful candidate will possess a proven technical

background, relevant Information Security experience with a strong focus in the Incident Response lifecycle. You

will work with a global team of security professionals on a follow-the-sun model with a primary focus on the

identification, containment, and mitigation of security incidents. This role is an integral part of the security controls

Apple uses to protect its customers, brand, and data. This person will have the opportunity to work on technology

Minimum Qualifications

More than 7 years of experience in Information Security with a focus on Incident Response, Security

Engineering, and/or Intrusion Detection

Proficient understanding of incident response automation strategies, with demonstrated ability to implement

them

Proficient understanding of threat modeling, operational threat intelligence, and common attack vectors

Knowledge of web application vulnerabilities with ability to triage/verify OWASP Top 10 issues

In-depth technical knowledge of macOS or Linux Operating Systems

Exceptional analytical and investigative skills with hands-on experience, with demonstrated ability to analyze

endpoint, network, and application logs

Proficient in one or more programming/scripting languages

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with disk and memory forensic tools

Experience writing and tuning IDS signatures

Experience triaging malware

Apple is looking for a skilled security professional to join its Apple Information Security SPAN organization, within the Supplier Trust function. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and significant experience in Information Security, with a particular emphasis on the assessment to remediation lifecycle. In this role, you will collaborate with a global team of security experts operating to secure the posture of critical manufacturing and corporate suppliers, with a primary focus on identifying and remediating findings. Your contributions will play a key role in safeguarding Apple’s customers, brand, and data through essential security controls. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative technologies and processes with worldwide impact.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to evaluate, conduct security assessments and monitor security posture of third-party Suppliers.
• Proven experience in handling and conducting large-scale security remediations with track record of effective threat mitigation.
• Ability to provide guidance to Suppliers on mitigating risks posed due to open Information Security gaps in assessment reports.
• Skills to deliver recommendations and timely updates to management on the risk level of Suppliers.
• Experience working with large-scale, globalized, multi-lingual business environments.
• Experience simultaneously working with multiple constituencies, balance disparate priorities, and solve problems in high-demand situations.
• Ability to develop security metrics to track efficiency of controls and remediation efforts and generate reports for management on insight of organization’s security posture.
• Ability and skills to ensure all security assessments and remediation activities are aligned with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Strong ability to analyse complex data sets, identify patterns, anomalies and potential threats. Familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.

Job Description:

• Conduct gap analysis of existing on-prem data centre and cloud infrastructures, identifying and assessing gaps in the overall security posture.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate security risks associated with information systems and processes.
• Lead and coordinate system security acceptance testing to ensure that all security requirements are met before systems are deployed.
• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to integrate security-by-design principles into the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert advice on security architecture and design, ensuring robust protection mechanisms are implemented.
• Manage vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans and participate in security incident investigations as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for management, highlighting security risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance status.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on risk assessment, system security acceptance testing, and security-by-design.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GSEC.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and Cybersecurity Act of 2018.
• Strong understanding of risk management methodologies and the ability to perform comprehensive risk assessments.
• Proven experience in system security acceptance testing and validating security controls.
• Expertise in integrating security-by-design principles into the SDLC.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Endpoint Protection and Wazuh.
• Strong in technological architectures (infrastructure / application), both in on-premises data centres and cloud infrastructures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cloud security and working with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
