Cyber Security Operations and Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the IT security infrastructure components such as firewalls, servers, intrusion prevention / detection systems, end-point protection system, VMware systems, SIEM, PAM, etc.
• Manage problem resolution process and solve technical issues with hardware and software using various diagnostic tools.
• Work well with OEM/ product vendor to keep customer infrastructure in good shape.
• Handle patching process and look after the IT security components, e.g. monitor, evaluate, test, and apply critical patches to operating systems, applications, firmware, network switches, etc.
• Technically proficient in networking technologies.
• Able to perform hardening, vulnerabilities assessment and findings resolution.
• Ready to be on 24x7 standby (rare activation).

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security, Computer Science or equivalent
• Good working knowledge in Windows and Red Hat Linux OS
• Good working knowledge of virtualization, end-point security and network security
• Basic knowledge in Nessus scan, PAM and SIEM is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skill.
• Independent with little supervision
• Relevant work experience in servers & network management and maintenance
• Certification in Cybersecurity or networking has an advantage.
• Mainly in Changi Naval Base, occasionally at AMK or Tuas Naval base (transport reimbursement provided)

Application Security

• Relevant web application experience

• Identify app security lapses in a system and mitigation methods

• Familiar with technologies like SAST, DAST or IAST

• Familiar with security testing tools like Burp, ZAP, Nessus, Fortify SCA, CheckMarx, etc.

• Define app security practices for one or multiple systems/applications

• Analyse scan results and address possible app security loopholes and threats

Responsibilities

Secretarial & Administrative Support

• Provides pro-active and confidential administrative and secretarial support to General Manager.
• Manages the Outlook calendar of the General Manager including scheduling of and coordinating of logistics for meetings, activities and any required onsite or offsite functions
• Assists with meeting preparation and other required documents through liaising with others in the collection, consolidation, and dissemination of meeting materials
• Manages the department’s electronic calendar whilst planning and organizing required team meetings, including agenda management, logistics and overall attendance
• Plans and coordinates travel logistics and prepares detailed itineraries including background information and forward planning of visa applications as necessary
• Compiles and prepares expense reports for submission using Travel and Expense Account (TEA), whilst ensuring compliance with Chevron’s Travel and Expense Policy
• Assists the team in travel logistics and organizing conferences
• Coordinates with regional offices on townhalls, alignment on key messages, communications, etc.

Communication

• Represents the General Manager’s office to a broad array of contacts within Chevron and externally
• Manages hard copy mail correspondence and any other electronic correspondence that requires attention, with the ability to prioritize, highlight and manage items requiring immediate attention

Others

• Assists Originators in preparing documents for tender submission
• Works closely with Finance/Shared Services/Procurement on invoice coding and payment matters
• Arranges and plans support for new employees in onboarding activities such as office set-up etc.
• Ensures the smooth running of the team i.e., ensuring sufficient office supplies, facilities, etc., are functioning well and liaise with internal departments to remedy as required
• Partner and coordinates with the other team’s administrators to ensure works/projects are completed in an orderly manner.

Job Description

• Ability to deploy, configure and fine-tune security policies as well as performing threat hunting to proactively response to potential cyber threats.
• Manage and operate the IT Security Protection System which includes liaising with Maintenance Contractor to address technical & security issues and Health Checks.
• Manage and investigate Events of Interests and security vulnerabilities to identify early indicators and work with the respective team to address them.
• Facilitate and support (internal and external parties) on Cyber Security Incident management and response.
• Enforce IT Security Policy compliance which includes assessment of security posture of the organisation’s IT assets as well as recommending appropriate measures and controls to mitigate security threats within the organisation.
• Assist in all internal & external IT audits. Follow-up with the respective Risk Owners to remediate audit findings.
• Review and enhance IT security policies, procedure and documentations with respect to industry standards and best practices.
• Facilitate, plan and conduct Cyber Security Awareness Training, including Cyber Security Exercises.
• Be on standby for any critical security alerts and incident management after office hours.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or Information Security or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Cyber Security field.
• Good Knowledge in Cyber Security Management, IT Compliance and/or Risk Management.
• Hands-on experience with Windows or Linux OS.
• Familiar with ISO27001 and/or PCI Data Security Standards.
• Hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure Cloud Security technologies (MS Sentinel, MS Defender...etc) as well as other Enterprise Security Appliances; such as Privileged Access management & Vulnerability Management tools.
• Familiar with modernised A.I and SecOps tools
