We are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in regulatory work to assist the Inquiry Panel Secretariat in carrying out its functions.
The successful candidate will provide legal administrative support in administering the processes of the Review and Inquiry Committees in accordance with the Legal Profession Act.
The specific duties include:
- Processing complaints referred to the Inquiry Panel Secretariat under the Legal Profession Act.
- Appointing members from the Inquiry Panel to serve on the Review and Inquiry Committees.
- Assisting in the administration of the proceedings of the Review and Inquiry Committees.
- Preparing all correspondences and other documents relating to the proceedings of the Review and Inquiry Committees as required under the Legal Profession Act.
Requirements
- Diploma in Law/ Legal Studies
- At least 2 years’ working experience preferably in the litigation department of a Singapore law practice
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong language ability with demonstrated proficiency in writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task efficiently, whilst maintaining a high quality of work and attention to detail within tight deadlines
- Self-motivated, resourceful and good team player with good administrative and organizational skills
- Highly ethical, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
