What are we looking for?

The APAC Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for delivering effective and efficient technical support on legal and compliance matters in respect of the (re)insurance operations of the P&C and Life business units in APAC, and more broadly on a global basis. The APAC Senior Legal Counsel will work closely with the APAC General Counsel and respective P&C and Life Chief Legal Counsels to understand and respond to the commercial and business-related constraints and pressures on the business functions.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Legal Matters

• Provide legal guidance and support on any assigned transactional, underwriting, (re)insurance contract wording and (as required) claims related matters including policy wording queries, sanctions and embargoes queries, licencing queries and applications, drafting and negotiating agreements (including services agreements, framework agreements and other commercial agreements).
