Job Description

• Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of the project / program / term contract, including developing short and long-range targets, daily activities, safety, quality, financial controls, and reporting and coordination of all stakeholders and subcontractors
• Familiarize, comprehend and execute contracts requirement
• Candidate will need to plan the work schedules and efficiently organize the project/maintenance activities in order to meet an agreed program of deadlines
• Will attend regular meetings with clients, consultants and sub-contractors
• Resolve technical and contractual difficulties and other issues that may arise.
• Candidate will need to be able to communicate to senior management concisely, confidently, ensure solutions and contingencies are provided for each problem faced
• Write technical report and proposal upon project request
• Have experience in using productivity tools such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Maintenance Resource Planning (MRP)
• Ensure that all statutory requirements of the Regulations, Codes of Practice and company’s safety rules & regulations are complied with at all times
• Handle ad hoc assignments or tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Building/ Facilities/ Real Estate Management
• Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E, facilities, or building maintenance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

- Ensure project is carried out on time, within budget and with excellent quality.

- Oversee construction activities on site, any Changes to Works and check the drawing to ensure the design can be carried in an effective manner.

- Project management, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific project.

- Ensure all changes to specifications, work scopes and drawings are properly documented.

- Main point of contact, attend meeting at site, clients and our project team and relevant authorities.

- Responsible for site supervision and implementations.

- Monitor project costing, budget, claims and schedule.

- Manage and lead a project team to ensure site progress accordingly to project schedule.

- Planning site facilities, verify payments and settle site disputes.

- Monitor progress against budget and forecasted schedule.

- Ensure project complies with legal requirements, building and safety codes as well as other regulations defined by BCA.

- Ensure Environment, Safety and Health practices are always adhered.

Requirements:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering.

- At least 5 years experience relevant working as a Manager in Mechanical & Electrical construction environment locally.

- Demonstrate leadership to lead

- Great interpersonal skills to manage the team and able to communicate & negotiation skills.

- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism, and technical competency.

- Critical part planning, strategic planning, timeline management, multi-tasking

- Very knowledgeable in project processes and procedures, Building regulations, Health & Safety legislation, environmental and best practices.

- Knowledge of ISO and Safety management standards.

- Able to start immediately preferred.

Responsibilities:

· Project Management on all company projects in M&E services design, cost, technical and authority matters.

· Supervise and provide guidance to M&E Project Engineers & Inspector of Works.

· Manage sub-con/in work in progress planning and meet pre-agreed timeline.

· Assess M&E contractors progressive and variation order claims.

· Review M&E feasibility studies and cost plan from design stage to tender stage.

· Review consultants’ design for compliance of company design requirements on various type of buildings.

· Value engineering on design proposals to optimise the cost and to ensure best practices are applied in the projects.

· Keeping track on variation and claims of contract and cost impact, report information to Senior Project Manager & General Manager.

· Work with QAQC Engineer to ensure quality performance of project to meet client requirements.

· Monitoring M&E services variation works and costs during construction stage to ensure within budget.

· Attend client consultant meeting & involve in pre-tender estimation and tender process for award of Contractors.

· Attend meeting with authorities & site coordination between Consultants and Contractors.

Requirements:

· At least 10 years of working experience in building and construction projects locally.

· Minimum of 4 years relevant experience working with government projects will be an advantage.

· Minimum Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Able to lead teams, work across different levels of clients and managing vendors.

· Positive attitude and able to work independently.
