Key Responsibilities

1. Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scope
2. Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision
3. Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports with limited supervision
4. Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervision
5. Technically lead and/or executes engineering projects, including development of key suppliers
6. Implements concepts for variety of complex product issues and electrical solutions of difficult scope
7. Generate electrical product specifications
8. Specify and review engineering documentation

Key Responsibilities

Perform engineering analysis under general supervision

Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision

Perform and document engineering tests under general supervision

Generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product release under general supervision

Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues

Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficultly under general supervision

Implement concepts of moderate product issues and mechanical solutions of moderate difficulty

May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle

• Will prepare project plan and coordinates the attainment of project deliverables from planning to implementation. Maintains matrix for process improvements
• Will drive project deliverables and task details by through the use reports, tracking charts and, checklists.
• Aligns the activities of resources internal to the business unit to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives for the project.
• Monitors, and reports to the business unit on project's cost performance.
• Will participate on intra business unit design teams to complete projects. Will contribute to the team's technical development in the pursuit of the team's project goals.
• Will research causes to project obstacles and assist in implementing solutions for resolution.

Applied's Joint Lab for Applied Process Equipment Accelerator (APEX) aims to develop materials and components for semiconductor equipment, as well as new processes that maximize resource efficiency and minimize material waste in manufacturing. These innovations are targeted for Industry of Things (IoT), Communications, Automotive, Power and Sensors (ICAPS) markets, which are strategic growth areas for Applied Materials. The joint lab will also enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore to support development of these solutions.

As a Program Manager, you will support APEX Strategy and Operations leadership and partner with the South East Asia Regional Office in Singapore to identify new growth opportunities in supplier development, build and manage partnerships with research performers and execute on key initiatives to realize this growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategic programs to establish plans, milestones and priorities and ensure regular communications / updates to stakeholders. Anticipate risks and roadblocks, manage program prioritization, timelines, and balance business needs versus technical / operational constraints.
• Support management to identify key requirements, develop & implement strategic growth agendas including a strong focus on talent, and productivity, and suppliers
• Structure and execute analyses to develop recommendations and drive execution / implementation in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of partner activities with overall business operations.
• Originate, negotiate and execute ecosystem partnerships in Singapore and the region to accelerate new business opportunities from inception to execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders (government agencies, public research entities, universities, tech startup ecosystem) to ensure Applied Materials is strategically positioned

• Bachelor in any Engineering or Science related discipline with min 4 years of relevant experience

• Experienced in structuring and negotiating partnership deals; Familiarity with legal contracts e.g. NDAs, research collaboration agreements, MOUs
• Good knowledge of the high technology or semiconductor industry (good-to-have)
• Experiences working across time zones in multi-functional global teams
