Role Overview:
The role is within the Investment Management Technology team in Singapore, focusing on providing specialized business analysis and support to various investment teams (such as Equity, Multi-Asset, and Fixed Income) as well as the ESG governance team. This is a highly specialized position where the individual will act as both a business analyst and a support specialist, working closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and other business users to ensure the smooth functioning of front office applications and electronic trading systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Point of Contact: You'll be the key liaison between IT and business users (including Portfolio Managers, Traders, and other team members).
- Team Collaboration: Working within a global team, you'll collaborate to address technical issues, ensuring efficient systems and processes.
- Problem Solving & Ownership: Taking responsibility for resolving IT-related issues and acting as an owner of those problems, ensuring smooth operations.
- Support Core Business Processes: The focus is on core business processes such as portfolio construction, order management, trade execution, trade confirmation, and settlement, all critical to the success of investment teams.
- Project Management: You’ll also be involved in managing and tracking projects, including entering tasks in JIRA and providing regular updates.
- Technology & Process Improvement: You'll work with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements, while also suggesting improvements to systems and processes.
- Data & Scripting Expertise: Advanced skills in SQL (including writing stored procedures), along with data manipulation using Excel and VBA, will be essential. You will also need to write scripts for operating systems like UNIX/LINUX in Perl, Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with complex systems that connect upstream and downstream applications.
- Experience with reporting tools (Crystal, Boxi, Tableau, Power Platform) and analytics tools (e.g., Dataiku).
- Exposure to monitoring tools like AppDynamics and Splunk for system monitoring and alerting.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology for project management and collaboration.
Required Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree and 7-10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
